My favorite class was in the 6th grade and the class was Axis and Allies which is exactly as it sounds, It was a class where we played Axis and Allies. I always played as the Russians and human waved until I owned all of Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.
well my favourite class as you put it as in a grade group was year 8 I just pissed about all year because I didn't think SATS or CATS were important....great year but I consequently was considered a complete idiot and was in very low sets for all of my classes in high school. my favourite class as in the lesson sense I'd be tied between Biology, English and Art

Anything that doesn't involve writing (notes or reports), reading things I didn't choose, and having to (after the summer is over) "re-learn" everything that I NEVER FORGOT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

It?s a toss up between Chemistry and Aviation.

In Chem, we make lots of explosions which is always cool. Setting hydrogen balloons on fire and putting potassium, sodium etc. in water and other stuff like that. But I must admit it was a bit scary when I nearly covered my leg in about half a litre of 16 mol sulphuric acid during one our explosive experiments. The teacher left the beaker on the ground without the stopper?

And in Avo we?re building a 5 seater version of an RV-10. We recently finished building a 2 seater RV-6 which we sold to a local University and before that another RV-6 which is used by the school for flight training. Not many can say that they are doing that in high school.

My favourite class was something called Applied Physics. There were teams of two or three people, and most of the time we'd have to do stuff like 'make the tallest stable structure out of this amount of newspaper and tape' or 'use these supplies to get the egg safely over this fence', but sometimes we'd just build Rube Goldberg machines. My team was called 'The Girls That Are Better Than Everyone Else'.

I also adored Marketing which I won every time (once a week for two years) except once when I tied. That was a surreal experience... tying...
That was a team thing too, but the teams were changed an awful lot.

Ough... Hard to say... I've had a few. Storytellingand Storyboarding for Video Games was interesting as hell, along with Ludology and Media Studies (where my instructor showed up to the Japan History class wearing a ninja mask.)
They were all very educational, and at the same time, fun as hell.

The chem's have always intrigued me most (Environmental Chemistry Major almost done YAY!)

I don't know really in depth as to why, I would guess due to my innate need for structure and order I prefer studies in a field where the bounds are so well known and justified.

Plus without being a chem nerd, I wouldn't be able to wear my "Bond...Ionic Bond." T-shirt and not look like an absolute tool.

Archaeological Field School (last term) at Uni. If you're going to be picky and go for school not Uni classes then it would have been Government and Politics.

Favourite what!?

I'm one of those people who does not understand the term "school days are the best days of your life". Was it fuck, a day at Alton Towers was better then all my school days combined. Things only started to get interesting when I was able to decide what it is I wanted to learn. And even then the lessons were so half assed and vague that I ended up leaving in favour of College. I mean they were teaching "Graphics" in a woodshop type room, the teacher barely knew how to turn on a PC, let alone use one and there were actually only 6 PC's shared between 3 class rooms.

"Hey kids, come learn Graphic Design, it's super cool and hip and you'll make a poster for a roller disco with crayolas because nobody here can even operate MS fucking paint let alone something like Corel or Photoshop". I'm pretty certain that all of the pupils who took that course went on to buy Macs and be pompous pricks.

And IT... I fucking T, where they teach you how to prepare for a career in spreadsheets and pie charts. Mmm... that's interesting, look at how these figures measure up in this visual aid of a graph. Or, try to turn someone elses machine on and off so fast that it doesn't actually switch it off, but still scares the shit out of them. And tell people that pressing the "Turbo" button will allow them to type faster.

The only thing I enjoyed about my school days was answering every question on an R.E paper with "Only Smarties Have The Answer" and then being asked if I thought it was funny... Fuck yes I thought it was funny! I STILL DO.

Moving on slightly... college and uni were good. But I simply don't have the enthusiastic emotional capabilties to have a "favourite class".

My favorite class of all time was...

History 325, The History of The Religious Wars with Dr. Mark Konnert at the University of Calgary. Fuckin' Awesome!

Though the Medieval History Dynamic Duo (Early and Late period) with Dr. David Winter at the U of C comes a close second.

Third would be English 395: Fantasy Literature, taught by Dr. Jay Gamble, he was AWESOME and caused a complete revision of how I looked at Fantasy and how it fits into the greater scheme of Literature. He also took the entire class out to the bar on the last day of class and we all got hammered, it was great.

Goodness... I am such an academia nerd.

Mechanics of Materials.

We got to stretch steel until it broke!

We got to freeze steel and smash it with a hammer!

We also had to wright freaking long lab reports every two weeks (~20 pages). But it was still awesome.
