I'm personally shooting for Computer Science (more specifically, programming), but many people say I should go for Arts and Technology. Right now, however, my declared major is CS.

CS is a decent field to get into. Where I graduated from they also had a computer engineering program. It was a BS program that was a mix of CS and Electrical Engineering. I heard very good things about it.

Myself. I got a degree in Chemical engineering with a minor in Math and Chemistry. A good degree to have since it is hard to get and most employers see you as a smarty if you have it and will hire you for just about any type of engineering position (even if it is not chemistry related). I was a Project Engineer for 8 years (meaning I handled large installations) and I am now a Research and Development Engineer for a chocolate manufacturer (yes it is as fun as it sounds). So (like most degrees) the education I got has not done much for me, but the piece of paper has got me the jobs that have given me great experience and really good pay.

How has my degree helped me in real life... I know how to blow shit up with common household items.

Ugh what's a college major?
And is college over there basically university over here?

And over here we have none of this major and minor stuff.. We just go to college pick a course we wanna do for 2 years, finish the course and then pick the uni and course we want to go to for 3/4 years.

Personally when September rolls round ima be doing Game Design at uni for 4 years one of which is where I go do work experience for a company

Already tried 2 major's: Bio-Informatics and Journalism. Quite the opposite of eachother, I failed at both, currently working out what to do next. One that can't fail.

not basically, exactly the same.

I'm going for biology or pre-med, I'm not sure which yet, but I'm sure the other will be my minor.

Your major is the field you study. If you have a minor it's "the other" field you study, a minor would not be as involved as a major. In the US college and university are used interchangeably (college in everyday speech because it's quicker).

For me I'm getting a dual major in Mechanical and Computer Engineering.

I'm studying performing arts, if that's what you mean.

I don't want to go to uni and I'm sick to death of people forcing me. Next person who tells me what to do WILL be killed.

I'm going to double-major in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. That way, if one doesn't work out, I can fall back on the other.

History pour moi :D

Starting in September, and I can't wait, Uni is going to be awesome!

I don't think there are many jobs that are directly related to a History degree, but hey, Its an interesting subject, and a Degree is a Degree...
