My Ideal scenario would be to be a major in English/Literature and become a best selling novelist.

But I'll probably just take the cheap way out and do engineering :p

Chemistry, just finished my degree!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are so many people here wanting to get into game design, good luck to ya with that, pretty fucking competitive getting jobs after them! Well, it is in Britain anyway!

Aw now that was under the belt.

(Doing Comp Sci - and would love to change to something else but can't.)

(To explain; country lends debts to students for their courses - I already have three years equivalent of debt, don't really wish to add another four on top of that)

(So, in short, mayhaps I should of thought of things a little seriously in high school)

I'm personally shooting for Computer Science (more specifically, programming), but many people say I should go for Arts and Technology. Right now, however, my declared major is CS.
I'm going into my fourth year of computer science this fall.

Pretty exciting, I can't wait to be finished :)

If everything goes according to plan, I'll have my BS degree in Economics by the end of summer term. Is anyone else an econ major?

I graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematic (hard sciences FTW!) and a minor in computer science, and I've been working as a programmer for the last year and a half. In the fall, off to grad school for Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Quick word of advice. Don't go into CS thinking that it will be all about programming, games, and such. I saw too many people who thought that because they "liked computers" that could do a CS degree, only to flunk out.

Joint MA in Anthropology and Divinity.

This is after doing 2 years of history and philosophy and deciding not to go to Art school and do jewellery design and silversmithing.

I'm in Fine Arts. Majoring in Drawing and Painting. I don't think I could be in any other field and be as happy as I am now. I literally get to just do what I love for school. I'm not forced to take academic subjects I have no interest in (though I can take them if I want). I don't have to bust my ass on readings in books I don't like (though I do have to read about Art Theory, I have no problem with artistic research). My "homework" always consists of self-exploration within the context of drawing and painting.
