Ugh what's a college major?
And is college over there basically university over here?

And over here we have none of this major and minor stuff.. We just go to college pick a course we wanna do for 2 years, finish the course and then pick the uni and course we want to go to for 3/4 years.

Personally when September rolls round ima be doing Game Design at uni for 4 years one of which is where I go do work experience for a company
Yes, college and university are the same here. My old college changed its name to a university title specifically because it wanted to appeal more overseas.

Major is your main area of study, what your degree is in.

Minor is a secondary area of study that you have a certain number of classes in to qualify for some recognition of your knowledge of that area.

If everything goes according to plan, I'll have my BS degree in Economics by the end of summer term. Is anyone else an econ major?
Economics is a quarter of my degree. I'm doing a really weird quad degree that is only offered at one British university (massive respect if anyone knows which one)
MORSE. Mathematics, operational research, Statistics and Economics. starting my 2nd year this october
I wont deny it's impressive sounding, it's also really hard and the exam term nearly killed me. but I got a 2.1 on the year so it's all good

Impressive, stats and basic calculus are of course a component of the econ program at my uni, but that sounds very hardcore.

In the US college and university are used interchangeably (college in everyday speech because it's quicker).
We usually use 'Uni' to avoid confusion over College. We Brits are sneaky like that ;)

I'm doing an Archaeology and ICT double.

Computer Science and Multimedia.

I was going for Mechatronics and Comp. Sci, but nothing in the classes appealed to me as much as I was hoping.

I'm personally shooting for Computer Science (more specifically, programming), but many people say I should go for Arts and Technology. Right now, however, my declared major is CS.

Eventually I want to transfer to a 4 year school for Computer Science, then make video games and hear Yahtzee talk shit about them.

I suppose I'm going to start studying environmental...engineering, under the trade of environmental technology if that's the right word for it. I tried to apply for various universities to study biology too, but that failed, hard. Instead I got a letter stating that I was accepted to study this previously mentioned trade.

Oh yeah, I'm waiting for my other results where I applied to study English filology...ugh, that sounds so boring right now...
