I made a giant stone doom fortress with a lava mote

My brother and I both worked together on that one.

i just wish water behaved better in minecraft. like flowed and filled up areas instead of just running down hill.
Look up finite water by djoslin. It's a mod that has water behave like real water. And there can be flooding when it rains.
i had a look at that mod. looks good except to get that mod you need to install this other mode that seems too complicated and risky.

know of any other mods that dont require editing files manually etc

I gather a freakish amount of materials and do nothing with them. I'm like a Minecraft hoarder, scared of using any blocks in fear of needing them later.

Made a large wall against the corner of a mountain and a large gap which I have a cactus trap in, As well two towers reaching the sky limit. All of which I will probably demolish soon as they look like crap.

I did have a sky labyrinth, but the damn thing got deleted before I could finish it. There was much rage that day.

My best is still in the works, but it's a recreation of the cathedral that is next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

All the materials have been collected by hand and I refuse to use any inventory editors, which means it will probably never be done due to the gold ceiling in the original building.

I really should get back to work on that.

I do have the habit of considering something, then just going off to mine. I did add a second story to my house recently, and a secret alcove for my sugar canes. My spawn is on a little island which I liked too much to leave, so there's not much room to build. However my proudest achievements are:

A huge minecart bridge over the sea to the land.
A minecart track from sea level to the bottom of the map and back made entirely out of powered minecart tracks (I'm pretty sure my world doesn't have gold in it anymore)
A nether portal just below my house in a 6x5x5 room made entirely of mossy cobblestone.
Handmade and all! May not be as fancy as others but I'm darn proud.

My Minecraft home.

It's a labyrinthine Castle kind of thing dug out of a mountain, with an indoor farm, library and a Vault with an automatic quad steel door, and a tunnel to a massive, near Moria-like bedrock mine.

Sure, half of it is unfinished, but hey. I'm easily distracted.

I've made a couple cool things, both by hand, gathering all needed ingredients.

My version of the Tower of Sauron

And a Stargate
My favorite part is how the Tower of Sauron is looming above this quiet, peaceful looking little town.

OT: Probably my best creations are either a 31x31 hollow sandstone pyramid. I chose 31x31, because it ends up with a nice 9x9 block setup at the top. I used the 9x9 space to put a lava block and had the lava flowing down in lines on each side of the pyramid. The best part is that I lined the inside of where the lava is with glass, so it lights the inside naturally.
I also made the lava flow around the outside of the pyramid and in a special track inside, covered with glass.

Either that, or a huge, totalitarian minecraft guy statue, with a gold and lapis lazuli crown (WIP) and obsidian eyes. His eyes used to be lava flows, but I think that was just a little bit too evil for my tastes.

Towers, bases and floating castles, all connected with a VERY long highway in the sky (I call it a skyway lol). The main path is completely safe with fencing to stop you from falling off and lighting to stop mobs spawns.

The newer branches and turn offs are far less developed (still with lighting though) so they are far from safe.

I am not looking forward to installing a rail system though.

A dungeon. Plot, traps, puzzles, hidden rooms, boss fight and all. I was then asked to make a sequel, started, and got burned out entirely on the game in the process. Haven't played in about half a year.

Would you mind sending a few screenshots my way? I'm curious now. Mostly because I've made an airship myself (could probably learn a thing or two from looking at yours) and golems sound rather neat.

Kind of. I'd have to wrestle the laptop off my brother and it's just not worth it.

They are not particularily special, though. If you Google image searched "airship minecraft" you'd probably get like an exact copy of all the shit I do, just smaller.

I built a scale model (each cube is 1 metre cubed) of Belvoir Fortress

But sadly, when I bought my new laptop I forgot to copy over my minecraft worlds, and won't be home to get it for quite some time. :(

Oh, okay. Sorry, didn't know getting the pictures would be a pain. Never mind, then.

Probably a solid golden house with a pit filled with lava underneath in and lava along the roof and walls. It also has a glass floor to see the pit... It's easier with pictures...

I'm also working on an underground city at the moment.

My giant fort connected with my Valhala bulding site and the metro system from my fort to my cousins castle.
