Most games I get, I finish. This wasn't the case a few years ago, but I've become a little more determined. Back then, if the game was too hard and I couldn't cheat to beat it, I just quit. I didn't finish alot of the RPG's I used to own simply because they were too in-depth. I was a lazy bastard. Now I tend to stick with the game, even if I'm tired of playing it (ala Condemned 2...oh, how I hated it after completing 70% of the game).

I almost quit The Witcher EE last night. Stupid ****ing Beast fight. I never want to see a Barghest ever again.

most of the time if i dont finish the game it is because it is a bad game and really really boring another is because i have a tendacy to buy multiple games at a time and concentrate on one of them.

But my favourite ever excuse for not playing a game is in a old PS2 magazine i have it says "If at first you dont' suceed, throw your joypad at the screen kicking and screaming about how shit this game is."

Normally, I get about 3/4 of the way through games, and decide that I've gotten as much fun as I can out of it. It's at that point that I:

a)Return the game to Blockbuster,
b)Move onto online play, or
c)Let it collect dust on my shelf.

Unless I am truly driven to find out the ending of the game, or if I REALLY want some award, (COD 5 Nazi Zombies, for example,) I'll rarely finish a game.
Actually, you don't need to beat the COD5 campaign to unlock Nazi Zombies. Its already there for you to play, but it isn't made aware to you unless you beat it. For the single player, just go to the Misson Select and choose the level, or just go into cooperative. That's how I "got it".

If I get distracted by another game I'll stop the one I'm playing and forget about finishing it. Then when I inevitably come back to it I feel the need to restart because I've forgotten it all. Has happened 3 times with Gears of War now. I will complete that game someday.

I stopped playing Saints Row because of how cheap and glitchy it was though.

It happend to me yesterday with Resident Evil 5. I figured I should give it a chance to not suck, since Resident Evil 4 was.. decent.

I had no interest in the characters, the gameplay was an exact copy, and the story was laughably bad. In the end I decided there was no point in finishing it.

Losing interest/lack of time mostly. Happend to me with GTAIV.
This, and an astoundingly difficult mid-way boss that I can't be bothered to fight for the hyperbolilionth time. Oh, and if I really like the story of a game, I won't finish it because I don't want the story to end XD.
