So you admitted to your bias, is it that bad that you cant control yourself? Sports games are developed the same way as any other game. And just how you love jumping around as an asian teen with a 15 ft sword because you cant do it in real life, some of us like to be Terrel Owens because we didnt make the NFL...same concept. Just cos i play sports in real life doesnt take away from sitting down and playing a video game to unwind, even if it is a sports game.

I agree with a lot of statements already made that say that a gamer is someone that plays games, pure and simple. Any games, any console- sports, platformers, pong, survival horror, whatever it is, if you play games, you're a gamer to me. It doesn't matter to me if you're a "casual" gamer, or "hardcore". If you play, you play. Call yourself a gamer.

I guess a gamer is somebody in who's life Video Games and Video Game Culture play a significant role.Someone who not just plays Games but reads about them, posts on Gaming Forums, wears Mario t-shirts, that kinda stuff.

The problem is that after gaming became mainstream it's not just what a gamer is, but there are different categories of gamers and how they should be defined goes through category and activety on the subject of games.
