Thanks man. I do have a book on C++ and ive been working on getting books for C# and Java. I am just trying to learn ALL languages. Trust me. Computers are my love, so programming for someone else is just a money gainer till I make my own video games. But yea i agree that making websites and so on will be annoying for the time being.myogaman said:Prepare for programming hell D:Lord Thodin said:Create videogames. You asked this on a website that i frequent cause of video games. So yea, id say video game designer. I tell that to my friends and they laugh. They want to be engineers. Fuck that. Video games are WAYY better
I wanted to do that, then I got a job programming C# (my preferred language) and hated being in an office all day. Later I got a job just making websites, I hated that one too. But I just didn't like programming for someone else. If you are doing something you truly love (like building a video game) go all out man, pick up some books on C and C++, and master that shit.
I want to sort of be a game designer, but I'm already a qualified electronic engineer, so bring on the programming.myogaman said:Prepare for programming hell D:Lord Thodin said:Create videogames. Not to brag but my dad is the bassist in the band Built to Spill. He became a rockstar (well, not coke snortin', fuck every girl in every state but he's a successful musician) by pure luck. He spent his days at a farm 6 miles away from town with only a guitar, bass, and a carton of smokes. He never took lessons, he dove into all the highschool bands he could. Eventually he joined up with an old highschool buddy to form Built to Spill back in 1993 (or 4...I don't know I was like 3 at the time).Antlers said:I want to sort of be a game designer, but I'm already a qualified electronic engineer, so bring on the programming.myogaman said:Prepare for programming hell D:Lord Thodin said:Create videogames. I sort of want to work developing the next generation of gaming like AI...
Actually, fuck that. I want to be a rock star.
Does your dad's band need a new guitarist?myogaman said:Not to brag but my dad is the bassist in the band Built to Spill. So for all you rockstars, practice hard and stay away from music when you want to compose your own. Sometimes inspiration turns into copyright infringement.

You live in Idaho or just being friendly?Antlers said:Does your dad's band need a new guitarist?myogaman said:Not to brag but my dad is the bassist in the band Built to Spill. I think my game programming option is a little more feasible anyway.
