I am mostly Irish & Native American, but I am also Scottish, German & English. And some other ethnicities because I just know what my papaw on my dad's side is, I don't know what my mamaw is. I am also a Hatfield (whoop?famous family there!) & my mamaw on my mom's side is related to Edgar Allan Poe.

You can tell that I am Native American because my entire family has some of the significant features of Native Americans. But I, for some reason, don't have the dark hair. I am fair haired & the rest of my family is dark haired. I blame it on being Irish. ^_^

A mess.

Let's see, I may have some kind of a tons of hispanic (from Spain) coupled with sephardi jew-ness which may also carry some arab-ness along, add to that some little bit of, maybe, isolated Iranian, and a load of indigena...plus something I may not be aware of.

I look brown-ish.

Call me Mexican and avoid the trouble.

I'm Irish/Swedish/Dutch. Thus, while I can hold my liquor, I also spontaneously combust upon direct sunlight.

"Ethnic background" means nothing if it isn't immediate. I'm sick of seeing Americans saying "I'm Irish" when they really mean one of their great grandparents was an Irish immigrant. No. That doesn't make you Irish. At all. You're Irish if you hold Irish citizenship. Otherwise - you aren't Irish and you barely have any Irish "blood". You also aren't therefore able to hold your alcohol better than anyone else because of it. Sorry. If you were to go to an Irish pub and call yourself Irish with your American accent, you'd probably be beaten up and thrown in a gutter somewhere.

Anyway, now I'm done with that little rant -

My mother is Japanese and my Father was French-Algerian. Beyond that, I don't really care - and I don't really know.

I've been canadian since before it was a country

Before that, my family was English on my fathers side and French on my mothers.

It's pretty funny as both their ancestors moved to canada at around the same time in 1756 because more soldiers were needed in canada on both sides, so they probably had to fight each other.

German and Swedish, but German doesn't really count as its only been a country for like a hundred years, I have no idea if I'm more Prussian or Austrian or whatever

German, Irish, Scottish, and a wee bit Finnish. I've actually had people who didn't notice me at all comment that they think I have some Celtic ancestry of some sort even without noticing my necklace (a Celtic knot, specifically a Trinity Knot, and bugger the Christian appropriation of it).
