Well, you're very right. But as you said, we are in the majority of our racial happenstance, if only in the area that we live in.

Thus, a lot of people near us are similar to us.

Therefore, we feel average.

I said I feel generic. That doesn't mean that I am. It's just the image that is given to me by my environment and by some media (games in particular, but movies as well). Luckily, most nationally produced media (newspapers, national television) paint a much better view of humanity.
