Lord of the Rings
Kingdom of Heaven
Syriana
High Fidelity
Children of Dune (technically a miniseries)
V for Vendetta
Bladerunner
The Bourne Trilogy

And of course, I love the classics...

Casablanca
The Maltese Falcon
Sunset Blvd.
The Third Man
Citizen Kane
The Thin Man (all of them)

There are too many to list, frankly.

Casino Royale (the 2006 re-boot with Daniel Craig NOT the 1967 comedy) is my favourite film ever. I'd also place Scarface, The Butterfly Effect, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Titanic, Memento and The Dark Knight in my top 8.

Just look up directors instead of asking for lists of the top 10 selling Hollywood releases of the past 5 years.

Japanese: Toshiaki Toyoda, Takashi Miike, Kooji Shiraishi, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Kinji Fukasaku, Ryuhei Kitamura
Korean: Chan-wook Park, Ji-woon Kim, Joon-ho Bong, Jun-ik Lee, Su-chang Kong
French: Christophe Gans, Gaspar Noe, Roman Polanski (he was born in France)
British: Neil Marshall
Swedish: Ingmar Bergman
American: John Carpenter, Eli Roth, Joel & Ethan Coen, Woody Allen (People hate him without watching his movies)
Italian: Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava, Dario Argento, Ruggero Deodato
Austrian: Fritz Lang

I obviously favor horror to other genre's, but I threw in some other directors that work outside of it just in case. I know I skipped a lot, but that is all that came to me off the top of my head, if you want more just message me.

Grammar... must... suppress... explosion

My top seven would be...

1.Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. Giant robot fighting never gets old.

2. The Dark Knight

3. Transformers

4. X-men 3

5. Van Helsing

6. Spider-man 3

7. Star Wars Prequel trilogy
Right, now, I didn't actually read the topic, but was that a great big sarcasm sandwich, because, bar the Dark Knight, and perhaps, in a goofy way, Van Helsing, those films are utterly utterly awful?

Spiderman 3?!
The Prequel Trilogy?!?!?!
I think I'm going to throw up.

Taken would be my favorite because of the awesome fighting scenes and Liam Neeson was just awesome. Rush Hour 3 would be a second fave cause of the comedy scenes.

It really depends on what kind of movie you like. "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" as people have already said is an excellent Western, but you should also look into "Unforgiven" for a more modern, realistic Western.

"The Exorcist" is a fantastic horror film, though I'm sure you've heard that before.
