Best film in the Bond series: Casino Royale.

Best 007 film: Goldfinger.

CR is the best acted, plotted and made Bond more gritty and believable than ever. However, this makes him slightly less 'Bond'. Now, for the best '007' movie (ie. the film that best captures Bond as the indestructible superhero he effectively is and showcases the deliriously unrealistic and over-the-top elements of the Bond universe which we all love), Goldfinger is untouchable for the reasons mentioned by comadorcrack and sunami88. :)

So... The Spy Who Loved Me?

Casino Royale because it's darker grittier and up-to-date. The Man with the Golden Gun is the most "fun", and Goldfinger is, well, good too.

Three way tie between From Russia With Love, Thunderball, and Casino Royale. Can't go wrong with Sean Connery or Daniel Craig at their best.

Gah! Dilemma! Timothy Dalton is my favourite Bond (i think he's the most credible embodiment of a suave and stylish-for the 80s-womaniser, who still was a secret agent killer)

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!

Goldeneye is my favourite Bond MOVIE. Even though i rank Brosnan 2nd from last (tied with Roger Moore, who never managed to throw a believable punch), it has Russians, Super-weapons, a Super-hot Russian chick, Sean Bean (!!!), AAAAAAAAAND....that bit....with the tank... wink wink ;)

(I dont know how to do the spoiler thingy, so i'll settle for being vague and saying wink wink)

Goldeneye. Brosnan is my favorite, just barely beating Connery out. ;F
I'm pretty sure that, somewhere, a kitten just died. Thank you, Aylaine.

OT: Casino Royale. I rather like the new Bond. Then again, I preferred the Borne series to Bond.

I always found them boring or tolerable at best, maybe I was too young at the time to appreciate them. Anyway I'll have to go with Casino Royale, that's the only one I liked so far.

Casino Royale. I think Sir Sean was the best Bond just because he was Sir Sean, but Casino Royale was definitely the most well made movie. Sure, it didn't have all the Bond elements (with Q mysteriously missing), but I think it was much more interesting than any other Bond film.

Goldeneye cos Sean Beans in it and I think it might have been the first one I watched. Also first with Pierce Brosnan and he was my favourite one

I'd have to say Goldeneye. It came out when I was just hitting my adolescent years, so in many respects, it became my veritable Bible of Manhood. And because of that, I will never be convinced that it's anything short of a perfect film.

Goldeneye, it's honestly the best in my oppinion, it kicks James bond back into action after a six year hiatus and succcessfully proves he doesn't need the cold war to survive. It has one of the best villains in Sean Bean, a man who plays foil against Bond well, because he could have played Bond. Awesome girls in the form of Natalaya and the villainous Xenia.

It combines high stakes with a believeable (for the time) and unique scheme. It has the entire dam scene and the tank in St. Petersberg. It also went on to inspire one of (if not) the best nintendo 64 game of all time.
