What is your favorite book or book series. It doesn't have to be your all-time favorite, it could be the series you are interested in right now.

For instance, the series that really has my attention right now is the 'Hyperion' series by Dan Simmons.

Go ahead, tell us your favorites.

My favorite book series of all time is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by Tanigawa Nagaru.

The character development in those books is truly remarkable and it's interesting how the stories don't really stick to any particular genre.

The Hyperion series was also pretty good.(Interestingly, I found out about that series through The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)

Right now, the Discworld series by Terry Prachet has my attention. About to read the third book.

Also, I'm interested in the Boy Soldier series by Andy McNab. I read the first one, and although the story may seem cliché, it's very well done.

The Wheel of Time series are just incredible in scope and quality.

The Riftwar Saga is one I just finished recently, also brilliant.

My favorite of all time.... stephen king don't kill me but ranma 1/2, yeah a manga is a book too... kinda. I liked the humor even tho i'm sure there are many that would think it was childish and simple and i liked the story as a whole. The dark tower series could take over that spot tho i just started reading wolves of the calla and if i finish the series and i am flabergasted(which i have been so far) I will change that statement.

That two book series was pretty good, had some very interesting concepts in it.

Personally, my favorite book ever is It by Stephen King. It is so incredibly well written from the perspective of the main characters from when they were both children and adults, and what It really is remains one of the most original and clever things I have ever read.

As far as series goes, I guess it would have to be one of three, The Dark Tower by Stephen King, Dune Series by Frank Herbert or Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. Each is written in a completely different style but each is fantastic enough to be spread out over many books and still draw you in and make you want to read all of them. If any book series can do that, it's a good one in my mind.

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.

It was a fun read and very enjoyable, but that's another story and shall be told another time.

I Am America An So Can You by Stephen Colbert is the best book of all time.

For series, I'll say... um...
I really don't know.
