I am constantly on the search for new television shows to try out. But the problem is that sometimes there are a lot of options, and so many positive (and negative) things people have to say about any given show. So I figure the best way to get a good sampling is to ask what everyone's favorite current television show is.
What I mean by current is simple: The show is in a new episode cycle. Ended series are ineligible and shows on a break are ineligible (shows like Burn Notice, as it is not currently airing new episodes). Also, please chose only one show. It can be really tempting to list one's current favorite two or three shows. But it almost always can be narrowed down to just one. This was hard for me, as I have a few shows I love the pants off of, but I was finally able to narrow it down to one.
So I will get the ball rolling. My current favorite show is 'The Mentalist'. The characters are well developed, and Jane is so much fun to watch. Add in the overarching plot line, and it balances the humor and dramatic narrative wonderfully.
So what is yours?
