I'm a fan of fps's and sandbox games mainly. Current favourites are Deus Ex and Prototype, but it constantly changes. I also enjoy puzzle/platformer games like Braid or Trine (although Trine keeps making my laptop overheat. Bad Trine!)

The RPG is where I dwell. Why? Because as games as Fallout 3 have proven, immersion is a powerful tool and when I play and I feel as though I am doing something that matters.

Plus the games are a crap ton of fun. That always helps.

My favourite game is Final Fantasy 10, mostly because of the awesome story.

My favourite genre is Action and adventure games, such as Jak & Daxter, Ninja Gaiden and Prototype. I like fast paced action and bouncing-off-the-walls fighting style.

I've been very big on fighting games lately, damn MVC2. I also like racers, mostly Burnout and GRiD. FPS's, platformers, and some sports games.

I don't know / I don't know.

It's annoying when you play so many different things to not know what your favourites are.

Platformers. It all boils down to characters, collecting things and good level design.

There's next to no platformers being released these days, which is a shame. Splosion Man was the last attempt at the genre, and it was brilliant. There's still life left in this genre, people! Don't forget it!

This genre I only wish existed: First person survival horror massive multiplayer online role playing games. That would be my favorite genre. In which you form allies with people you meet online and set up your own defense quarters in a constantly expanding environment where you fight off the zombie horde and occasionaly other players or factions trying to steal your land or base. PvP mixed with PvE. The days in game only last an hour real time so for 30 minutes it's day and another 30 it's night. The daytime is when you gather your supplies and the night is when you board up and start fighting. With a ranking system that's determined on how many bases you've conquered and how many zombie hordes you've succesfully fought off.

My God, I need to start working on that game.

My favorite existing genre is the shooter.
Dude.. that's awesome! Work now!

The way I play videogames is to pretty much play only one until I am sick of it, then move on. For that reason, CoD4 is my favorite right now. My favorite genre, however, would be RTS games. I just have so much fun with those, even if I'm not the greatest player in the world sometimes.
