Prince of Persia (disregarding that recent foray into 'art' gaming through POP and the tie in prequel to the movie)
Uncharted
Infamous
Persona
and even though I'm a little disappointed in it, the ME series

Despite Square Enix' best efforts to run it into the ground, I'd probably say Final Fantasy. I have to narrow it down to I-X, but I can't find any series that I like that is comprised entirely of titles I like. The closest second example being Devil May Cry.

FF: Aesthetically pleasing, mechanically sound (Possibly save for the Junction magic system in 8) and the fact that Nobuo Uematsu is a god. Most of my PS1 era memory is made up of these games.

DMC: Grade-S Badassery. There's no other way to describe it.
This is exacly what i wanted to post . Just add FF12 ( and skilping X-2 and 11)
I also want to add the final fantasytactics series although my favorite is the original .

Mass Effect, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Saints Row (although wasn't as good as 2) and LittleBigPlanet.

Persona, more specifically Persona 4 AKA Perfection personified.

Persona 3 FES was good, though if you compare it to P4 it all adds up to "Persona 4 built and improved upon everything in this game so just go play that instead"

And I never liked the main character... At all. Kinda a game breaking flaw for a game like Persona to have

Though you'd be missing out on Aigis if you did skip P3. Aigis is damn awesome. Oh and Chidori's epic character arc.

Man I just remembered how good P3 actually was... Just... Everytime I try and get back into it it's like BAM SUPER ANNOYING FRIENDLY AI ACTIVATE!!!!!

Persona 4 just overshadows everything in Persona 3, quite impressive really.

Plus I have no idea what the hell The Answer was trying to pull... Great idea guys! Y'know that awesome anti-grinding system we have in place in P3 and 4? Yeah let's just go and rip all that shit out and turn it into grindtastic hell where it's all Hard Mode all the time!

Ace Attorney comes a close second, maybe even first when we're comparing actual series rather than individual games since Persona 3 wasn't that good compared to Persona 4 but let's face it nothing looks as good when it's compared to Persona 4 whereas every AA game is fucking sublime on their own merits (with the possible exception of Apollo Justice)

May I direct your attention to Phoenix Wright's character development over the trilogy? Super special awesome doesn't even describe it...

I can't really say that I have one anymore.

If I did, it would be either the Myst or Silent Hill series. But the Myst series has ended (and the last few games weren't that great), and the Silent Hill series should have ended ten years ago.

I could say Ico, but I don't like Shadow of the Colossus quite as much.

...Can I say Machinarium and Botanicula? They're both made by the same company, and they're like complete opposites, style-wise, which makes them complements to each other?

Take a look to the left my good forum goer. Should be pretty obvious.

I also like InFamous, Metal Gear, No More Heroes and definitely the legend of Zelda (including Okami, the zelda game that wasn't made by Nintendo)

Mass Effect, Final Fantasy (VII through to X-2 as well as XIII.), MGS and the WWE games.

I guess Assassin's Creed could fit into this as well as I've owned every game in the series so far, just a good 6 months or so after they've been released. I'm not interested in them enough to buy them launch day but when I do buy them, I play the shit out of them and get most of the achievements, so...yeah.

God of War has been a good franchise overall.

Final Fantasy. I like most games from the core series and the ones I don't like, I can at least tolerate. I'm not really a fan the Tactics series, the Crystal Chronicle games.

Shin Megami Tensei. I've played all the ones available in NA and so far, I do not hate them with every fiber of my being.

Wizardry. I love all the games in the series. I have never beaten them because I stop caring long before the end game, but I do like them a lot.

Star Ocean. Played all the games in the series and thought on, balance they were great.

Lufia. One of the best series I've played in a long time.

Hitman. It's about the only set of games I've replayed, well mainly Blood Money and Silent Assassin. Assassins Creed comes in second.

In no particular order:

Mass Effect: Yeah, even with the ending of ME3. A great series.

Dragon Age: I even liked the second one. Between this and the above, I should probably prepare myself to be attacked, shouldn't I?

Assassin's Creed: Fun games with pretty graphics and ridiculously awesome gameplay. For whatever reason, I still get a little ":D" face whenever I stab things with the hidden blade.

Last but not least...

Tales of...: While none of these games are directly linked with each other, I've enjoyed all of the Tales series games that I've played. Fun storylines and good characters that often have a bit too much fun with subverting JRPG cliches.

Mass Effect

Elder Scrolls

GTA (at least 3, VC and SA)

SSX

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (not sure if 2 games constitutes a series)

I'll throw in Dragon Age as an honorable mention.
