For example the rupee shooting game in Ocarina of Time.

Is their one where you feel it was better than the main game?

I've never thought an in-game minigame was better than the game itself. I did, however, really enjoy the card game in FFVIII. I also spent a lot of time playing Liar's Dice in Red Dead Redemption.

Oh, I can't remember what it was called...

It was an ingame minigame in 'Bully'/'Canis Canem Edit'. I think it was at an arcade machine in a comic store or something, and it had something to do with sushi and whatnot.

I haven't played it in about five years, but I remember being so addicted to it.

If anyone can remember this as well, let me know!

Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars was full of them. Beetle catching, barrel jumping, waterfalling (You fall down a waterfall... the words mixed so well I had to try it...) a mine cart mini game... the beetle video game... They were awesome and always bring a smile to my face if not just warm my heart a bit.

Edit: Maybe the casino games in New Vegas though...because I like gambling.

I actually really like mini games. It's an extension of me being a sucker for allegories in general. But yeah, Once they "explained" what the Mass Effect unlocking minigame represented, I quite enjoyed it.

However my favorite is Fallout's Lock Picking game. I am fucking OCD for Lockpicks in FO. :/

Based on the minigame you get to play on the sarifindustries.com website, Deus Ex Human Revolution's hacking Minigame looks like it will be pretty fun too. Did anyone else play that? What'd you think?

The chocobo racing in FF7 and the card game in FF8. That makes me think, though, did FF13 even have a mini game? If it did, I don't even remember it and I played that game only a year or so ago. Fishing in Ocarina of Time, of course. Everything about Mario Paint, the whole thing was a minigame to me.

Oh, and I killed hours of my childhood playing Mystical Ninja or whatever it was and it had a snake minigame I liked a lot.

Kind of off topic, but there's a lot less minigames in games now. Well, maybe not. I guess they kind of design the relationships (Mass Effect) and such to be kind of like minigames. Kind of...maybe it is the hydrocodone cough syrup talking here.

That's just a separate category if for example you played a game that had a minigame in it that you felt was superior to the main game.I'm just curious if anyone thinks a minigame in a game is better than the main game and if so, which game. Still post your favorite minigame however.

Hacking in Bioshock!

No. But really, I liked the ones in GTA. Especially the remote control car bombs.

Pretty much any minigame in Dark Cloud 2. Oh god I could spend days just fishing or playing Spheda... Fish raising is so much fun too.

That game did everything right...

This one without any competition whatsoever:
I still don't understand why they didn't make that an unlockable extra. I would play that for hours. The music, the psychedelic backgrounds, good gods I can't tear myself away from it. The actual game was awesome as well, but this was even better.

Also, give us another proper Rayman game dammit!!!
