I personally love Super Mario Sunshine. One of my favorite games ever. what is your favorite mario game?

Hmm. Probably gotta go with Super Mario World, though Super Mario Galaxy was also an incredible experience.

Funnily enough, Sunshine was probably my least favorite, at least in terms of the main games.

Super Mario World. Had it on snes, and now my wii. I obsessed over that damn thing. I found every secret, power up and shortcut. Timed myself last week. Start to finish only took me 16 minutes to beat it.

Super Mario 3, or Super Mario World them two are closed to tied, with world maybe holding a bit of a nistalga factor as it was the single most impressive jump in techonolagy that i remember, going from 8 bit nes graphics to SNES graphics blew my little mind away. (I was faily young, under 10 or so at the time.) The jump from SNES to Playstation wasn't as awsome, i'm not sure why, mabye cause i was older. *shrug*.


With 64 being a close 3rd under them two.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga on the GBA would probably be my favourite. I really like the Mario and Luigi RPG series.

It's gotta be Super Mario World on the SNES. The amount of funny stuff you could do with turtle shells was hilarious. It was definitely the one with the most comfortable platforming physics for me.

Super Mario RPG.
It has great pacing, fun combat (turn-based even), excellent design/tone, and platforming elements.

If we're talking strictly platformers, then Super Mario World
It took on the daunting task of improving on the excellent Super Mario 3, and it worked.
No strict Mario platformer to date has managed to impress me beyond that, not even "New SMB".

Have to say Super Mario RPG: Bowser's Inside story. That and Brawl are my 2 contenders. I don't much like playing as Mario anymore, but I REALLY enjoy playing as Bowser. He's my kinda guy.
