Cinematic poetry.
I defy anyone not to weep their guts out to this film.
May I ask as to what the film is about?
The fundamental "plot", if one could call it that, concerns an angel called Damiel who falls in love with a circus artiste - and subsequently wishes to become human.
It's the most lyrical and beautiful piece of cinema I have ever had the good fortune to see.

Saving Private Ryan. Well, practically all good movies came out before I was born.

I was born in 1988 So ...

...hm...there are a lot of pre-me movies I really like...

Comedy: Monty Python and the Meaning of Life
Action: Pulp Fiction
Sci-Fi: Return of the Jedi
Pulp fiction came out in 1994. It's one of the defining movies of the decade.

For me it would probably be Dr Strangelove. I know it's been chosen before but there is a reason why it's a classic.

Blade Runner and The Thing...both released in 1982! (It counts because I was born in '87.)

Life changing experiences those movies were.

Thats a great film!

Hitchcock FTW.
Hitchcock, hell yeah.

Rear Window is my favourite, followed by Dr. Strangelove, The Empire Strikes Back, and Apocalypse Now.

ETA: born in 1989.

Ah, I thought from the wording in the scene that the person who was talking was saying his love was dying. It just seemed like it as I was reading the subtitles.

I feel sorry for the above posters. They don't know what they've been missing out on.

Go to your local library and check out "12 Angry Men". You won't be disappointed.

Well, i was born in 1985 (jesus christ, i feel so old nowadays), so its The Thing for me. Soemthing about a bunch of men totally isolated, not knowing who is who, and (for some reason) weilding flamethrowers.

Plus it had Kurt Russel. He's Snake Plissken, so he's automatically awesome.
