Vance's 9mm Machine Gun, that thing kills Cazadores like they're molerats and I love it. It eats up ammo pretty quickly though, which is why I always get as much of it as I can.

Gotta love the grenade machinegun. Toss a high speed belt on that baby, and an army of deathclaws are an evan match for ya.

The hunting shotgun never fails!................................. well, that and the fact that it is the only pump action shotgun in the game.

Knock Knock the named fire axe is so strong that you can steamroll pretty much anything by the time you get it, not to mention that the vats special attack knocks people over and launches them several meters.

The Abilene Kid LE BB Gun was also godly. It didn't do much damage, but it shoots fast, the ammo weighs/costs nothing, stored 100 shots a 'clip', and all critical damage took at least 50% health from anything in the game making for easy crippled limbs. Pair that with a sneak attack to always get that critical or cripple and you're set. Also pretty easy to get as long as you are nearby Nellis.

In terms of sheer usefulness, the Brush Gun and Anti-Materiel Rifle. For sheer coolness, for me, the simple 9mm Pistol, maybe Maria. I just love the good old M1911.

I mostly went through the game relying on the Ratslayer and "That Gun" till I finally wised up, realized the Ratslayer was just a buffed varmint rifle and went for an anti-material rifle

(ofc, this wasn't till WAY end game, I had already finished the main story and old world blues before I switched, so really I only had the AMR for honest hearts and most of the new vegas bounties 1 and 2 mods)
