My segsy baritone silverburst Gibson Explorer!

I've had the stock pickups changed to an EMG 81/85 set. 'Tis magnificent!

My Jake the Dog hat:

That is ridiculously adorable.

OT: Best thing for me was cleaning out my closet and getting all new and really nice cloths. A very close second was getting my boyfriend his RE6 archive addition.

(Several) plane tickets to visit my girlfriend, who lives all across the continent :)

Best purchase by far
2nd. Dr. Mario for Gameboy
3rd. New Sennheiser headphones and a new iPod Touch

(I need those two things for the plane rides, else I can't sit still)
Woo. I still have my original GB Dr. Mario cartridge from when it first came out. It's a ***** compared to the NES version because it's a row shorter, which is a pain in the ass at high levels.

Similarly, I guess some of the outings or anniversary stuff or whatever with my girlfriend would be up there on the list this year. I haven't made many other significant purchases to compete with that. I get daily use out of my new SSD and video card in my desktop, so those don't suck either. I'm pretty easy to please without much stuff. Heh.

Rocksmith for PC

I was already an intermediate bassist, but the game has helped me quite a bit more than I expected. It encouraged me to play songs I thought were to hard for me, and taught me a new method for breaking things down to learn them. It also got me into playing with picks for songs that call for it.

On top of that the USB Instrument Cable has been hugely useful. It's allows me to conveniently record my bass, but it's also the best method I have for recording my acoustic-electric drum set. It also turns my laptop into a respectable amp for playing through headphones.

I froze my newborn's stem cells. Could come in handy if he ever gets really sick or if I want to become the real life Dr Venture.

Probably my vacation to Edinburgh.

Despite plenty of downsides and quite a lot of negative effects the city was absolutely amazing. On other grounds it was a real eye opener. Not in a positive sense but very useful.

Does something in quantity count? Because if so, all the booze I bought one the way to Wacken Open Air.
If that doesn't count then it's one of the two kilts I bought at Wacken itself.

My favorite purchase of the year, and probably the only thing I've ever not had any regrets about, has to be my Sodastream. I can make cola and root beer in my kitchen!

I didn't buy the thing to save money (and I'm not sure if it does), but the fact that I now never run out of Pop has to be one of the most annoyance-removing expenditures I've ever made.

It's a toss up between my brand new car, Breaking Bad Seasons 2-4 on DVD and my custom made bobble hat. Enjoyed them all a hell of a lot in different ways.

I have two. Neither bought by me, but both bought on my say-so.

This doll [http://iplehouse.net/shop/step1.php?number=2552]. Full set (means I got her clothes, armour, and wig too, not just the base doll). And my iPad. I love my iPad. I'm pretty much never without it.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest, there has been a lot i've bought this year.

One of my big favourites would have to be the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Complete Boxset which includes all 26 episodes and the director's cut episodes as well, all in a really nice package. All the Evangelion merchandise i've bought has been nice too as well as Final Fantasy merchandise.

Gah! There is too much!

Well I'm yet to buy some games. I haven't bought Halo 4, BL2, Ass Creed 3, Dinhonoured, CoD BlOps 2, XCOM, Hitman and so forth but thus far I think my best purchase was either Alan Wake's American Nightmare in the Halloween Steam sale or my blue "I used to be an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow to the knee" T-shirt...

Probably the limited edition set of Warhammer 40.000: Dark Vengeance to start my daughter's new army, as well as an original copy of Rogue Trader.

In video game terms, Killzone HD and X-Com: Enemy Unknown are currently my top picks.

Red Dead Redemption GOTY. Probably the most satisfying game experience i had this generation.
