The Death Star. If I were the one piloting it, I'd just replace the planet-destroying ray with a giant solar panel.

That or the Millenium Falcon, the Heart of Gold from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or the Planet Express Ship from Futurama.

Man, I feel old reading this thread.

Anyway, my favourite spaceships are

The Tarsus, as it was the starting point of a truly epic journy, that isn't rivaled to this day.

And the Concordia, as it was home on my first campaign in space.

(not an actual screenshot, rather a render)

And please save me, escapist forum, by not having me to tell you what games those are from!

Honestly, the Spirit of Fire from Halo Wars is a pretty freakin' sweet ride.

Also, the Alliance Ships from Firefly are cool (if somewhat evil looking), in that they're pretty much spacefaring cities. Which seem like they would be useful when you're chillin' around the galaxy.

Serenity. all the little nooks and crannies for smuggling. The floor plan is actually plausible! she may not be a real looker especially after the reaver makeover but she's got the biggest heart and best crew anyone could think of... why did they have to end it prematurely? it's just not fair! The Evstafi from the game Infinite Space (sorry no image on Google). To me that is the default spaceship that the captain (you) would buy. It is also fitting that would be the ideal captain spaceship since there is only in existence in the game (it was very expensive to create it).

Of course I wouldn't mind a Borg Tactical Cube. Then I could just assimilate anything that was thrown at me. Assimilation Beam FTW!
unless of course you was going up against the ELS, in which case that cube will be the one getting assimilated

Spaceball 1. C'mon, they even have Ludicrous Speed on that thing. And a Circus. And a mall. And a zoo. And the most polite self-destruct countdown ever. And it can transform into a giant maid.

'Nuff said.

The Omega Destroyers from Babylon 5

And the amazing Starfury fighters from the same show as a close second.

Sure they're not very pretty, but the are some of the most realistic sci-fi ships out there.

I like the bubble ship from The Fountain just for the sake of its elegant simplicity.
