Yeah, a lot of non-fans neglect the fact that Stargate has just as many space battles as any other sci-fi show, not just the gate.

I'm confused. I know that it is being retired, but how many missions are left again?

The last mission was originally supposed to be in early 2009, the shuttle's retirement has delayed I think 4 times now. Either way it still is no closer to retirement than it was in 2008

This is the one time I've ever been happy for a delay.

My favorite spaceships are the Daedalus class battleship from Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, when they are equiped with a ZPM they are almost invincible.

anyhoo, the ELS (Extraterestrial Living metal Shapeshifters) are these weird looking drone-ish looking aliens that zerg rush everything, and assimilate whatever they come into contact with, and their way of doing so is a lot more..unpleasant than the borgs method, to put it mildly (also as the name implies they can pull a T-1000 and morph into objects they've assimilated, like whole battle cruisers, or even a small moon)
