What is your favorite storyline of any game?

God Hand. The dialogue is phenomenal and the storyline is easily the apex of what a video game can reach. Nothing even comes close.

TLoZ: Ocarina of Time sucked me in and got me hooked on the series.
Bioshock's was good.
Amped 3 was freaking crazy for a snowboarding game.
I haven't played them (because I get too freaking scared) but Silent Hill's story is brilliant and it keeps you looking for answers because it doesn't explain everything. I watched a guy's walkthrough on Youtube.

Planescape: Torment
you won't find any better story in a game than that. The downside is of course that you spend a lot of time reading and getting into the story as opposed to adventuring. It's more of a hybrid between a fantasy novel and an RPG.

The Kingdom Hearts storyline its not original at all but the fact that the enemies are not only the heartless and Organization XIII but its darkness it self. I found it very interesting

I have to go with Bioshock - it's just such a unique, crazy mindfuck of a story that was presented very well. But Planescape, Mass Effect, and KOTOR are all great too.

For some reason I really like the Command & Conquer Tiberium story. That's always been my favorite, probably because quoting Kane is so much fun.

The most recent Zelda games have had good ones too. Twilight Princess was interesting, at least. It was really weird that

I second Shadow Hearts: Covenant, and also the prequel, Shadow Hearts.

The storyline is epic, with some much real word lore & mythology, plus it has it's fair share of humour too.

Since playing those games, for me, any other "fantasy" RPG storyline doesn't even come close to the awesomeness of the Shadow Hearts mythos.

For me i would have to say resistance's background and killzone's background they are both my favorite games and that really stand out to me.

O and of course silent hill 2.

As if Resistence had a good story... It was like they made the game, then sticky taped a story to the back

Although it is very hard to vote against Half-Life 2.
