So far I'm really enjoying the Drill from Bioshock 2. I wouldn't necessarily call it my favorite gaming weapon but it sure is very satisfying and a lot of fun. The Portal gun is delightful in its functionality and its simplicity found in its complexity. I'd have to say I mostly enjoy melee weapons in games that don't typically sport melee weapons as the highlight (i.e. Resident Evil 4/5)

Thirding the BFG 9000.

I'm also rather fond of the auto shotgun from L4D. Not really in L4D2 though... Weird.

Keyblade, it unlocks anything, figurative or otherwise, and apparently lets you cast spells and shoot your best friend like a rocket to home in on your enemies ... also, it is very portable (what with the disappearing and reappearing at your convenience).
Probably not at the top of my list, but I think you can guess my top 3.

I'm surprised no one has said the Gunblade from FFVIII yet!

Me, I'm more of a fan of the Buster Sword....good ol' Cloud.

/end FF fanboy mode...
Lightning's Gunblade is better! It's actually a gun too!

Okay, I'm done.

Worms weapons anyone? The holy grenade, the grandma bomb, the exploding sheep attack. The list goes on.
Super Sheep! Or Aqua Sheep, but it doesn't sound as cool. Also, Super Banana Bomb goodness. Got potassium?

Excluding the entire armory of Armed & Dangerous (should it be pointed out again that there is a GUN that SHOOTS SHARKS?) my next favorite is probably Fallout 3's Rock-It Launcher.
I did! Though it still doesn't beat the Shark Gun. Which is a Gun. That shoots Sharks.

Gun. Sharks.

M1 Garand from any WW2 game. I don't know why but it's the gun that suits me the most.
..also that "Pling!" when you finish a clip is very satisfying.

I guess hers actually has a gun in it....but still, I don't think it's as cool looking as Squall's...maybe more functional, but not cooler.

I'd definitely take Squall's if it was Lionheart instead of the normal Revolver.

My list of favourite weapons:

Dystopia: Grenade Launcher
TF2: Flamethrower
Bioshock: Machine Gun (once it has been upgraded with a stabilizer)
Actually, I like all of Bioshock's weapons. Once they've been upgraded, that is.
Worms: Holy Hand Grenade

But my favourite weapon of all has to be the Gauss Rifle from Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage. It's a freaking railgun with a scope. Too bad it has only one round and takes fairly long to reload, so you gotta make each shot count (not an easy job if there's a Super Mutant in front of you trying to make you blend in with the floor). It's a very good weapon for stealth, but a not-so-good weapon for rush-in-and-give-them-it-the-power-armour-way. Needless to say, from the moment I got the Gauss Rifle I've been training my character's stealth skill.
