what is your favorite weapon in fallout: new vegas?

Gotta go with either the Anti-Material rifle or the Gauss Rifle. The latter being my favorite. It's long-ranged death. And they both look badass.

I'd have to say the Multiplas rifle. It fires out an amazing three plasma shots at once. It's probably my favorite gun in this whole game. As to what I use most frequently, I would have to say my boring, slightly beatup, modified laser rifle. (and strongest gun argueably is still the gauss rifle, deadly in boones hands).

Q-35 matter modulator it makes it to find corpses when they are green glowing puddle of goo n_n
Also the chainsaw is fun, Maria is pretty, Gobi Campaign scout rifle(especially before it got neutered), All-American, Love and Hate, and the Holorifle from dead money.

Q-35 Matter Modulator

I've got an energy weapons dude and I sold that thing. Used it a couple of times but it didn't seem to have much bite to me. The tri-beam laser rifle and plasma caster did better damage and conserved ammo better respectively. Does it have any special properties I didn't pick up on?

My favorite weapon is the gatling laser. Its so much fun. Wastes ammo like nothing else though.

Issue with the tribeam is the speed of degradation on it. sure its easy to fix but it bugs me. also i have a character based on crits - beret 5%, finesse perks etc.
And if the matter modulator crits they are done, like super mutant master in one shot done. I think its ballpark triple the crit damage and .5 better in multiplier than the tri.
no hate on the tri-laser for damage though. its another i carry, laser commander perk = super death
as for the caster, thing is too heavy, i switched to the Gannon armor over the t51-b armor just to get above a glacial pace, walking as slow as a man in crutches is no fun.

Ballistic Fist at short range... Marksman Carbine at long.
12.7mm Silenced Pistol at medium range.. I love the idea..

I've had the most fun with either Pushy (the named displacer glove thing that sends everything flying when you hit it, at least with my ridiculous melee character), Mercy (the 40mm machine-grenade launcher), or the c4 explosives, really.

pretty much the stuff fallout 3 didnt have that just goes over the top and is so fun, but I really wish there was more 40mm grenade ammo to go around for Mercy. It's too fun to just unload on a swarm of cazador/deathclaw down an incline with that thing.
