What is your favorite weapon?

Several of my friends and I have been arguing lately over the best weapon for different scenarios. I personally tend towards swords and personal firearms and was hoping for other opinions.

If your fighting in a phone booth, it would pay to have a knife.

Most problems can be solved by a .50 caliber semi-automatic.

my favourite in game weapon is Pandora from DMC4, 'tis quite epic.

Real weapon or a game one? For real life it has to be the classic meat cleaver. For in game my personal favourite is the Dragon's tooth sword, that was unstoppable

So, going for the weapons that are mostly useless in modern combat, then? Well, I tend more towards the assault rifle and light machine gun, personally. The FN Minimi proves to be one of the best squad automatic weapons around, providing adequate suppressive fire in a moderately portable package.

In a combat situation I Wwould agree with you, however my suggestions were based more for civilians then people engaing in heavy-arms firefights.

I wonder if you've played Soldat at all?

In-game weapons, I can't really think of any at the moment...
But in terms of real weapons... I'm thinking the Remington 700 or M16A4 (another reason I like playing CoD 4 so much - it has both of these ).
I'm thinking I might actually end up getting the Remington 700 at some point, if I can... but I'm only 17 at the moment, so if I do get it, it'll be a good while from now

Oh you have taste, i like you. I prefer the SAW, massive firepower capable of taking out any nonarmoured opposition

game guns: Plasma Annihilator. from the imperator titans.

melee weapon: Chokuto.
game melee weapon: Frostmourne.

I tend to lean towards Katanas more than anything. Something elegant about them that fire arms (while epic with the mass destruction abilty) just dont posses.
