Metroid Prime (Any) menu music. You know a games going to be excellent when even the menu music gets you excited.
March 1995, Parallax Software's Descent, firing a flare down a pitch black mineshaft and experiencing a real-time lighting engine for the first time. I knew gaming had me for life at that point.Aphex Demon said:I think this topic is more campaign related rather than multiplayer, but if its multiplayer, or from a past experience in multiplayer perhaps, please do say

The part on Black Ops where you jump off that cliff in the snowy place, I thought that was awesome, put a smile on my face.
And the part on Half Life Episode 2 where you first get in that muscle car, it was like "Daaaamn woman!?"
Aah, that reminds me of a match in 007 Nightfire. I was playing Top Agent (certain number of lives. Lose your lives your out) and me and the last CPU were down to our last life. I ran behind a wall because he had a Samurai (large laster blaster) and I had the crappy starting gun. I sprayed the little bit of the clip that I had into him and hid back behind the wall. He came around the corner and out of desperation I punched him once, causing him to drop dead, and giving me the win. I was exstatic.Jinjiro said:Another honorable mention goes to the time I was trying to kill a friend in Goldeneye 64 - Facility Level - he'd locked himself in one of the toilets, and I was trying to open the door, only for him to close it. Every time I opened the door, I shot a few bullets at him - but no dice, couldn't hit him through the small gap.
Eventually I run out of ammo, and start to cheese it. My friend, seizing the opportunity, came out of the toilet at me, guns blazing. Knowing I'd die before I got to ammo, I turned around and slapped him. Turns out he'd been on low health from our last encounter, and as he crumpled to the floor with the blood descending over his screen, I threw my head back and laughed. Superb feeling.
