My personal favourite is puzzle games, not bejeweled tetrus, platformers with puzzles (like limbo or braid) or point and click. They have interesting, versatile gameplay and they always have brilliant soundtracks. They never have a dull moment (apart from when you get stuck) and they have the most original ideas and gameplay out there.

What's yours?

RPGs, but there's a catch: They either have to have a strong linear story, or a strong emphasis on Role-Playing. None of that Elder Scrolls for me, thank you. Not my thing. I'm also a huge fan of platformers and Metroidvania games. Shooters can be fun to, and I like stealth and strategy despite being terrible at them. Sandbox games are fun when they aren't focused on crime, and I highly enjoy playing fighting and survival horror games. The only genre I really don't care for is racing and sports...and RTS, now that I think about it. Turn based strategies are the only way to go with me.

RPGs.

I just love the feeling of going into a different world and getting lost in it's culture and personality.

I love myself some good ol' RPG action. Out of my top 5 favorite games of all time, 4 are RPGs. Many of my most played games of all time are RPGs. Japanese, strategy, shooter, action, pause 'n play, it doesn't matter. So, in conclusion, I, BreakfastMan, love RPGs. Hurrah for role-playing!

WRPGs are really growing on me. Platformers are a close second, but really few good ones were released in recent years.

RPG to say a genre But if can I can make one, build your own death machine games most of the time with vs. Something like Chromehounds, Banjo nuts and bolts, or even kingdom hearts gummi ship making. Something more then like armor core's pick head part, arms parts, but just making anything and killing others with it. Hell it can even be just a high customizable shooter like phantom dust.

RPGs, with adventure games being second. I enjoy a lot of games that have RPG elements but aren't necessarily traditional RPGS.

I personally have a close tie between RTS and RPG. I enjoy implimenting strategies, but RPGs have their own unique play style.

Open World/Open World RPGs. Classic or otherwise.

Ive always had a soft spot for "complete freedom". Go where i want, do what i wanna do, stab people i want to stab.

I would really like to see an Open World FPS. While there is Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim, theyre more of RPG's the FPS. I mean real FPS, like Battle Field, CoD, L4D or Crysis.

First person action-RPGs have been like crack to me for the last couple years, ever since I first played Fallout 3. Other than that, I tend to gravitate towards straight first person shooters and experimental games above anything else, although I can enjoy most anything that isn't in the strategy, fighting, racing, or sports genres.

Gonna go with platformers. Love me some platforms. And WRPGs. Yeah, they're a close second. Wait, I just remembered ...BOARD GAMES. Yes, my favourite would be board games. Then platformers. Then WRPGS. Then whatever I feel like. Uhh.. Simulation. Love me some simulation.

Action Adventure games like Fallout and GTA. I also love platformers, but I can't find any good ones anymore on the xbox 360(please suggest if you know any).

FPS first, then action adventure like PoP and God of War. Then platformers like Crash and Mario.

I love me some survival horror... the first 3 Silent Hill games and Penumbra/Amnesia kind, not the action-horror type that's a lot more common. Nothing can draw me into a game quite like that kind of atmosphere done right.

I play RPGs the most though... and I enjoy a good game pretty much regardless of genre, I play almost every type of game.
