What is your favourite game genre?

I love me a good hack-n-slash.

Shame the genre is basically the least developed. It'll always be around, because people love swords, but there are never enough of them for me.

Survival Horror (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Parasite Eve) and Fighters (King of fighters, older campcom fighters)

First and third person shooters with the occasional RPG.

Tactical Shooters. Good ones though not like Red River. More ARMA.

RPGs have now surpassed FPSs as my favourite genre. No other genre can compare with the freedom you get in RPGs, from the linear-missions-in-any-order of Mass Effect 2 to the wide-open exploration of Bethesda games. The addictiveness of leveling up also draws me in.
