Don't take it too hard.

This is a gaming forum. The favourite-game-ever thread comes up at least once every three days.

Yep.

I'd say this thread has probably been done somewhere in the thousands by now.

But I'll pick the first Zelda on the N64. Funny thing is, I never owned it. Only played segments of it every now and again.

Kind of hard for me to choose. So I won't.

A lot of my favourite games are so different from each other, that it would be like comparing apples and oranges.

I just can't make that call.

Could be Warcraft 3, Diablo 2 or Oblivion... One of those definitely, but it's too hard to decide.

I hate these threads. I hate them because they make me think about games I've played over almost the last 30 years, games I've loved and then try to make me pick one. And I come to a different conclusion every so often.

X-Wing is still probably my all time favourite though. For now. I think. Dammit....

This thread has been done a few times recently but you're new so it's cool.

Mine is Final Fantasy IX, for me the perfect game in every single aspect.
Following that, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda: Wind Waker, Resident Evil 4, Pokémon Blue, Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2.
My favourite series, however, is the Jak & Daxter trilogy.

Team Fortress 2. It's definitely the most fun I ever had with a PC it hasn't lost any entertainment value, in fact it just gets better.

I have said it before, and I will say it again: Banjo Kazooie, and Banjo Tooie, as I refuse to choose one or the other.

There will never be a game like those two ever again, I guarantee it.

I've been playing since the 70s so it's pretty hard to pick a favorite and try to keep them in the context of their respective generations.
When I was little, I probably would've said Utopia for Intellivision.
Around the time of the NES, I probably would've said Phantasy Star 1...actually a SMS game.
Now with so many different genres it's hard to place a #1: somewhere amongst Katamari, San Andreas, Burnout Revenge, and Borderlands lies the truth...
for me at least.

I love you, no homo. FFIX is amazing the Second Coming, and I love the rest of the games that you stated, with the exception of RE4, which I haven't played.

These too, god damn it. Nuts and Bolts should have been Banjo Threeie in the traditional sense. You know what, Rare? I'm sorry, but fuck you for killing that series.
