I don't know if a setting like this exists, but I want a world wherein science and technological advancements are fused and also respected along with nature.

An example of this kind of world would be something I found from the web.
Final Fantasy 8 sort of has this. It's more tecnology mixed with fantasy and magic, but there's nature in there too.

Azeroth. Filled with many interesting citizens, it's extremely large and well-detailed, and never short of any excitement. Factoring in magic and motorbikes, and we have a winner :)
I was gonna say the Nasuverse, but I actually agree with this.

I'd probably say most worlds in really long RPGs. I'd say my favourite is Symphonia from, well, Tales of Symphonia. The Capitol Wasteland is a close runner-up.

The thing is I'm looking for a world like this outside the RPG genre. No luck so far.

Oddworld.

And, if it counts, the mental world of Boyd from Psychonauts. =D Secret Agent/'Housewife': "When my husband drinks excessively I might threaten him with this rolling pin. Though we still love each other very much."

I'd say Mass Effect universe, but that's already been said several times.
So I'll take my other favourite gameworld: Beyond Good and Evil's Hillys

The world of Outcast is one I remember well. Some good variety among the areas of the game and I always thought there was something nice and...homely about the snowy region you start in.

The Freelancer universe - I could spend an age just cruising the universe in my awesome fighter craft, bothering pirates and bounty hunters alike! Bretonia would be my home, of course.

I'll also echo the sentiments regarding Rapture, though preferably before everything went to pot than after...:)

I love Ivalice
Also Palm Brinks in Dark Chronicle (or Dark Cloud 2 depending on what region you live in)
Star Ocean The Last Hope, I love the whole game universe (with the exception of Nox Obscurus which is just a little too dark)

It varies. At the moment, it'd be the landscape of Brutal Legend. I've yet to find a single spot on the map that isn't filled with awesome.
This would be my first pick, too. The concept alone of a whole world built around my favorite style in music was fucking awesome, but seeing how it turned it's EVEN BETTER than anything I could have imagined.

The world of Nosgoth from the Legacy of Kain series - huzzah for dueling English majors!
My second pick. I find it really, really sad that we'll probably never get to see another game that takes place in Nosgoth.
