When I did watch it I loved Haku, I have a thing for pretty men and he had skill. I liked Naruto,the person, for his underdog personality, same reason I like ichigo from Bleach. You know they'll probley win it's just really cool to see'em do it. Shikamru for reasons stated above,he's lazy and a genius.

Hey, here's an original idea- if you don't like Naruto (the series) and hate all the characters then try this: DON'T POST IN THE FUCKING THREAD! For chrissakes people, it isn't that fucking hard!

I stopped watching the anime as well, although that was more to do with the massive drop in quality of the actual canon episodes rather than filler (although the filler would have driven me nuts as well). Seriously, the animation quality went south ages back, they make pointless and stupid changes from the manga and they pad everything out to make it take 5 times as long as it should (they didn't do this in the pre-timeskip series, the padding was less severe and usually improved scenes and a lot of the changes they made were for the better).
