I tend to be a nerd through and through, what with my infatuation with all sorts of nerdy/cult media and my chosen profession/realm of study being computer science...

Does martial arts count? Because I love sparring the hell out of other people. :D

I like to jog. Seriously, it's the most fun I have without books, video games, friends or porn.

I'm fairly artistic. Although, I don't know if this constitutes as a stereotype breaking hobby or not.

My first attempt at pointillism:

Grumpy Cat:

Wish I could get better at digital art, though. I mainly just doodle when I'm using my tablet.

Other than that? Nothin'.
You've got potential. I'd suggest doing some nudes and studying dynamic poses from comics. Those two together should help immensely.

Well, I like to draw stuff. Like my avatar.

or this terrible imitation of a manga page.

Aside from that, I'm introverted and a bunch of other stuff that would probably constitute me more as a stereotype :U

i write, mostly erotica but i can write drama, sci-fi, fantasy, and all other kinds of things. I have currently been working on a semi-erotica incestuous piece out of boredome (it's father-daughter, and sister-sister stuff).

I simply love to write, the fact that i'm a wee bit of a perv just merely colours the kind of writing i do.

You can use a graphic tablet, bravo. I'm still trying to understand mine, goes all over the place on the screen without hardly moving the pen, will take some getting use to. >_<

Anyhow, I'm an alright artist, I draw quite detailed and can never be bothered to colour in, except from when I did an art course once but I had to. I also enjoy sight seeing, main example is when I went to Paris. I just got back into reading with the purchase of some of the Song of Ice and Fire series. Love going to the cinema with friends so long as something good is on, went 3 times last month and I'm a big fan of movies and TV in general, got a decent size collection of DVDs.

That's a few things I like to do hobby-wise, if I can find an example of my work I'll see if I can be bothered to upload it.

I may also start going paint balling quite often, depending on how much I like it later in the summer, and once I get some cash I want to go sky diving. XD

I play drums. Well... kinda. I've played classical percussion for more than two years now [small](snare drum, bass drum, suspended cymbal, crash cymbal, auxiliary)[/small]. Just finally got to play the timpani in my college ensemble [small](they're the big bowl shaped drums)[/small] after begging my instructor for a piece. :p

Right now I'm learning how to play the full drum set. And I have no idea what I'm doing. If anyone has any tips, that would be fantastic. >.>
Start at the very beginning. Get yourself accustomed to how drumkits work. Probably tons of lessons on youtube. But right now you need to focus on using your entire body. Also it's a common misconception to think of it as seperate rhythms being played on several drums and cymbals. they all work together in one massive flurry of hits. Maybe you want to practice in a way where you see the progress of a beat, rather than getting all parts tight seperatly.

I'm kinda tired so if I don't make any sense, just tell me.

I wonder, what is this thing, a "gamer"?
Something like a reader?
A TV watcher?
A music listener?
A ... you get the idea, yes?

I like to be in nature, I'm a fairly good cook, I dabble in music making and I do visual arts[footnote] ≠ drawing. Couldn't be further away from it. linky[/footnote]- how this seemingly has to contradict the fact that I also happen to enjoy video games? I don't know.

I help out a lot at church, which I'd guess goes against the standard of educated liberal ideology that I'm used to with most gaming communities... well, the ones that I enjoy anyway. I should probably point out that I'm not exactly a conservative either, but I'm still way into my monotheistic craziness.

Other than that I frontman an acoustic rock band. Could use a little more practice with the stage presence, but years of choir paid off in sweet vocal harmonies.

I play piano. At least I would if I had a piano. Mine died a year ago, I feel very lost without it :(

Other than that, I don't know. I read a lot, I walk the dogs quite often. Other than that I got nothing.

Whilst my main hobby is competitive paintball (speedball/xball) it due to it's image it doesn't really break the stereotype, even though you need to be very physically fit to play at the top level.

However I also go to the gym regularly and do Tai Chi and Southern Dragon Kung Fu so I think that breaks it quite strongly.
I'm also quite the punk rocker with one hell of a mohican :p

I work in theatre and academia, I write poetry, and I listen to mostly classical music, oh, and I'm fairly quiet, spend a lot of my spare time tinkering with computers, and preordered a PS4 last Friday.

Honestly, the more people I meet in 'the real world', the more I'm happily convinced that the video gaming demographic has groan out of what had been a pretty accurate stereotype. The issue now is to address the fact that a lot the industry and media still stick to the frat boy/bedroom geek type.

Apart from doing martial arts (close to 10 years now), I enjoy crafting and smithing- especially weapons and armors (currently working on a chain mail shirt). I also play tin whistle and harmonica, and from time to time I write novellas and short stories.

And I'm trying to grow my own bonsai tree.

I think I must be super nerd or something.

My main hobby is video games. The rest of my time is spent either working (intern of studio technology, I'm an A/V tech, neeeeeerd). I'm starting my final year of University in September where I study media and cultural studies (nerd?), and work my ass off to get pretty good grades (neeeeeerd).

Other than that, I just go out with friends.

I farm worms and minnow fish for fish bait.

I forge weapons and sell them.

I hunt and fish.

I start conflict for my own amusement.

I want to learn to play the violin and I'm currently writing a script for an Indie movie (Yes, it'll probably be shit if it ever gets made. But, still, a guy can dream, right?)

i read classic literature while laying on my back on my lawn under the sky at twilight[footnote]disclaimer: just making sure. by twilight i mean the light that is at the start of nightfall, not the hainus books[/footnote]
i love this time of year the most since where i live, the sky turns purple almost every evening. it is absolutely beautiful.

I'm an avid writer of short stories and poetry? Moreso the former of late, but nonetheless.

Given that I play games, I'm supposed to be completely out of shape and weaker than a dry stick. I do martial arts.

I'm still completely out of shape and weaker than a piece of jelly in warm water

I also write articles, read fuckloads of books, draw and so on and so forth, although I don't think any of these are in any way breaking the stereotype.
