I was thinking something similar. I like to paint but half the time I'm painting, it's a space ork for 40K. Even other arts I'm into like glassblowing involve a lot of the skills (and hand muscles) developed from video gaming. It wont make you a pro but it helps. Martial arts, basketball, cars are also very gamery.Cloudydays said:Okay yeah, that was pretty cool..War Penguin said:
Damn... So cool...
I myself a musician as well. Play the Piano and the Viola.
I am an artist but I guess it draws me back to gaming if I say I'm aspiring to be a game artist..
I love improv. It's one of the things that has brought close to a lot of the good friends I have today.
But I have a lot of hobbies and there have got to be a couple that few other gamers are into.
I guess my most stereotype breaking ones would be hair & makeup.
I was wondering that too. I consider martial arts (or any sport really) to be a "gamer" activity. It's the most playful way to stay in shape. But I guess staying in shape at all goes against certain gamer stereotypes.BreakfastMan said:I tend to be a nerd through and through, what with my infatuation with all sorts of nerdy/cult media and my chosen profession/realm of study being computer science...
Does martial arts count? Because I love sparring the hell out of other people.![]()
I have to find another good fight club. Mines been overrun with hipsters and I think they're just masochistic. I consider it a bad fight if I have to yell "why wont you block!" to my partner.
