The Discovery Channel.
I always go there first.
It's just entertaining so often. Even though it's filled with Cash Cab on weekdays...that sucks.
Honestly, if nothing is on, or if something else is on, I end up staying with Discovery.
This. Good old Discovery's always got my back. Cash Cab doesn't bother me as much as long as I only watch it in short bursts.

My dorm telivision is not hooked up to anything other than a wall outlet (no channels, no movies) and it's the same at home, except at home it's hooked up to a VCR.

the closest thing I got to answer this thread is hulu/youtube/escapist/www.watch-movies-online.tv

between those I usually have something to watch.

So you can watch the Whales and plan your vengeance?

OP: Comedy Central usually has something decent on, that or Cartoon Network when Adult Swim is on.

I would, but they're on Animal Planet, I think.
And I don't like that channel.
If I must "plan" my attacks, I go to NatGeo.
They usually give me more information. >:-D

I have several: First, I go to comedy central, no matter what time it is. Next, USA, because they show 3 episodes of NCIS in a row, and they occasionally have a good movie playing. Failing that, I go to the Discovery Section, which is all the discovery channels (Nat. Geographic, Science, Investigation, Regular, Animal Planet) and there is usually something good on. I actually learn a lot from those channels, and shows like Most Evil and Wicked Attraction interest me a lot and I actually learn some basic human psychology (although I also learn that from real life too). I love the Science Channel, because science is awesome. I also like Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters, whenever they're on. If its late, I go to Adult Swim, usually around midnight, so I catch either some Robot Chiken or Squidbillies (I watched more of that show over the summer than I ever cared to).

What this man said.

As backup channels I've got Animal Planet one channel up from Discovery, and National Geographic one more from that. Lately I've been needing them more and more though - Discovery has been showing a shitload of car shows lately and if there's one thing I couldn't care less about it's cars.

I hate most TV channels and shows but whenever Scrubs is on, I'll always turn it to that.

No matter how many times I've seen an episode, I'll always keep going back to it. Its really the only show that I can quote each episode.

Lifetime...

In actuality, I would have to say Discovery Channel always has something interesting on.

Though I prefer [Adult swim] at night, and Comedy Central on it's good days. When it comes to just having something to watch, Discovery just has the most consistent delivery of any channel.

Discovery Channel (mythbusters, how it's made, daily planet)
AMC (they show great old movies I've yet to see)
CBC (gotta find out what happens in the world)
