Vampire Weekend man...

I know they're gonna take my PunkRocker Card? away for this but I just can't help myself.
Brilliant avatar, man! Respect, bro etc!

OT: I honestly don't think I have any. I love punk and hardcore more than I love my mum but I do like some good pop music because it's good, like Cee Lo Green and one Coldplay album (Viva La Vida).
I'd like to compliment you both on your avatars.

Not sure I have any, at least any more. When I was first getting into hiphop it was kind of like that, but now I proudly blare my speakers with whatever song I want to listen to.

I feel pretty odd amongst the Internet for liking Nickelback's breakthrough album Silver Side Up and the one after after it. I will freely admit they're total rubbish now though.
Oh and a friend and I agree on this:

I still have no idea why.

Also the drums are surprisingly interesting for a pop song. According to a lesson a drum magazine did of it, it includes a double bass pedal fill.
I put another CD drive in my PC when I was 10 so that I could listen to that album while I played Diablo 2 because I didn't know how to rip songs.

No shame. I use to regularly pump that at the loudest I could with all the windows down and drive slowly through my town's main strip. I think everyone was under the impression I was being Ironic[sup]TM[/sup] or had lost a bet. A bunch of times.

I regret nothing!! Although this is mainly because I'm VERY particular about what music I listen to. Not that I have to hear only certain genres or certain artists, but because I require my music to either make me think about something or elicit some reaction from me. This isn't to say that I don't like ALL the brainless crap in the mainstream pop/hip hop/rap stuff (LMFAO is always fun and Eminem can be quite clever when he isn't being a misogynist), just that I'm less likely to enjoy it than music that makes me think about what feelings and thought processes went into the lyrics (and to a somewhat lesser extent, the music and solos that set the tone for the piece).

while I don't feel "guilty" about them there are a number of bands that I like that I know I would get me mocked/called tasteless by some such as linkin park (only their first two CDs tho) deadmau5, three days grace, T.A.T.u., creed, Eminem, and almost everything by vulpvibe/lapfox trax. But I have always been a fan of most music rap, rock, metal, techno, country, there is very little I don't like and that bugs some people.

One of my friends (whom I incidentally plan on asking out before the end of the week, wish me luck folks) recently told me about Furries in a Blender, now I can't stop listening...
And to help ya rave, JAKE'LL DANCE FOR YA!

Hatsune Miku. And anything anime related. My family is ok with it and my sister went with me to a concert (church of Miku she called it, lol) but most of my friends immediately think hentai and the occasional tentacles. That's ok actually, just like how I'm racist but I'm careful about letting my guilty pleasure known to others.

Rock, metal and stuff like The Silent Comedy/MUSE, especially around my church friends and members.

Dashboard Confessional. No matter who I say it to, and completely regardless of everything else I listen to (from Sigur Ros and post-rock to Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen to the slowest dirges in metal to ambient and drone), it always gets at least a chuckle or sideways look from someone.

Just, ya know, the usual stuff: some AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zep, *cough*Sigur Ros*cough*, KISS, and maybe some Dave Matthews when I want to chill.

regina spektor. love her music so much its ridiculous. probably more than i should.
I absolutely adore her. She is my favorite artist. I think she is so talented and quirky(she writes her own music too which is rare these days). Not sure why you think this is a guilty pleasure though (maybe if your usual genre is heavy metal and you are a guy).

On topic would be, ermmm I like singing 'tik tok' by kesha at noreabangs (korean karaoke places), because the lyrics are so ridiculously shallow and horrible.

Growing up, I liked John Denver because my mom would always have his music on. Now it is okay to like that, but that is definitely not cool back when I was a teen.

When nobody is around I sometimes play the album August and Everything After by the Counting Crows.

I am ashamed.

Show tunes... And it gets downright socially damning when my one buddy who is into them too is in the car and we start singing along.

Let's see, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The Killers, Owl City, All-American Rejects, and, regrettably, Vampire Weekend...well, at least no one can call me a hipster anymore...unless I said I listened to these bands ironically...

Also, as I said in a thread like this earlier in the year, those old Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! dub songs...
