I want to direct a really good movie before I die. And then after that, another one. And another one, hopefully. And I'd like to just keep directing movies until I die. I don't really care about fame, I can leave that to the actors. I just really enjoy making movies, pretty much more than anything else. But first I've got to make that crucial first movie.

So that. Just a distant dream.

Lots of things.
sex
shooting things
cutting things
beer
restoring my old cars
hanging out with friends, family and pets
helping out friends and family when they need an extra set of hands or one of my areas of expertise
the fact that I'm free from the US military and reaping the benefits of my veteran status
having avoided death whilst acquiring my veteran status
swimming in the river by my property
owning said property
being highly employable in a time when the US job market is in the toilet
being able to drive less than two hours to some beautiful spots on the Pacific coast...
et cetera.

I've been pretty lucky in life, I suppose.

Curiosity in all things, accomplishment, and sensory experience (food, sex, warm blankets, fuzzy rabbits, fresh lake water, music, landscapes, scenery, etc.).

Victory. The thrill of overcoming a tough challenge through the power of sheer awesomeness and improving upon myself (especially physically), whether it comes from pushing myself to my physical limits in a strength & conditioning circuit, doing an awesome job in MMA sparring/rolling, beating my time in a run, or even having a good session of Contra/Devil May Cry/Mega Man/Starcraft.

Making food for myself is something I also look forward to. This morning I made myself a badass omelette with marble cheese, ham, and spinach. It was one of those meals where everything turned out just right. Who needs restaurants when you can make your food just the way you want it?

Nothing.

No, seriously, I've been sitting here for a good 10 minutes and haven't been able to think of a good answer to that.

I also see no reason to kill myself either. So since life is a widely varied experience, I might as well do that because being dead is a pretty consistently experience.
Yeah, I'm more or less in this boat. I'm quite depressed, but not so chronic that I can't get out of bed in the morning or that I seriously consider popping my own clogs. Seems pointless to me.

Edit: haha, well done Escapist. You forced me to watch an advert on the Captcha.
