CoDMW2 and CoDBO. These are the only two CoD games I own, and I severely wish I never bought them. The only thing I liked in MW2 was Spec-Ops mode, and the only part I like in BO is Combat Training. However, I absolutely hate playing online due to the playerbase, the way lag is handled, and all the limitations placed on the weapons.

I know, the limitations are for balance. Or at least some sense of balance.

Seriously, you don't know the difference in resolution and graphics? Resolution is the number of pixels displayed. You can run Oblivion and Minecraft at the same resolution but they won't have the same graphics. Oblivion clearly has superior graphics and it has nothing to do with resolution.

My god! Did I just have to explain resolution to someone on the Escapist? Sad
What does me being an Escapists user have to do with me knowing anything about PC terms?

You know that time when I used the definitions of graphics and resolution? Believe it or not, I did read them.

Maybe I should rephrase what I said. You're complaining about the way these games run "visually"? Last time I checked, people didn't buy Minecraft for the "visuals"
I just figured that a video game enthusiast would know the difference between resolution and graphics. I guess not.

Now, let me lay my complaint out for you again. In 2011 800x600 is obsolete and a game that costs $10 running at a lower resolution than a Facebook game is ridiculous. The game apparently can't scale and so people with widescreen monitors will have the game running in a box.

I made no complaint about the graphics, they are 2D graphics that look fine but having to run the game in a box or a window is just stupid. Make sense now? If not maybe someone else can explain it better.

Call of Duty. I really really dislike the game. And I also feel Call of Duty is the worst thing to ever come to gaming. Expessally now that it is so big
I'm actually surprised to get ninja'd on this one. Well done! For me, COD is just not the type of game I want to play, it's way too real. I prefer some fantasy in my fantasy. COD is just way too simple, easy, and boring for me.

The Metal Gear series. I played MGS:2 and it had about 3 hours of good gameplay for every 7 of cutscene. It felt like listening to one of those early-reader pre-school cassettes where they have to tell you when to turn the page rather than, say, a fun-filled action game. I was very disappoint.

(inFamous has better parkour)

the hell it does. I got it free from the Sony 'here is two games for being patient with us' deal. And Cole in my mind moves so horribly and 'slited' and the camera sucks to put it nicely. None theless I still like the overall and I'm looking forward to Infamous 2. The best parkour I've seen in a game is Assassin's Creed 2, much more fluid and believable too.

The games I hate that everyone else loves is:

1. The God of War series. (It's just dull, the fighting is uninteresting, the quick time stuff is annoying. Even as a beat em' up it's just press attack and hold on. Add to that a horrible story that takes alot of liberty with mythology. It's just not good.)

2. World of Warcraft and for that matter any MMO you have to pay a monthly fee for. If I sink 60 dollars into a game ALL content should be availble from the start, ALL DLC and game features should be free. So WoW and games like Everquest really tick me off, to have the gaul to charge a monthly fee. Now if your a F2P from the start I have no problem with having some content you have to pay for like the much better Dungeons & Dragons Online is. I don't mind thier model because it starts as free. I haven't played Guild Wars, but they seem to have the right idea to me, full game, no 'pay for extra', and no monthly fees.

*readies flame-shield* I really don't see whats so good about Starcraft 1/2, Although RTS is one of my favourite genres, it just really doesn't do anything for me; yet everyone else seems to like it... I'm looking at you South Korea.

DA:O. Generic story, hideous brown art style, piss poor class customization, slow, dull combat and a crap ton of intrusive cut-scenes.

Between Gears of War & Mass Effect.

Gears multiplayer wasn't as fun as some people I know made it out to be, the story wasn't that great either, the cover, the shot gun, the sniper rifle and the whole host connection business made it insufferable for me.

Mass Effect, I found to be boring, I like rpgs and I like space but I found the lack of weapons and armour, the fact that you are Shepard not your own character, the levels, the combat and most of all the tedious, sprawling dialogue to just drain all the life out of the game. In fact the only part I found fun was driving the buggy around on low gravity planets (a part which most other players hated & Bioware removed in the 2nd installment.) - I mean don't get me wrong dialogue is necessary in RPG's you need it to develop the plot, the world and the characters but compared to Oblivion (my favourite RPG), Fallout or even the single page quest givers in WoW, the dialogue I found was just so uninteresting and lengthy that I could barely follow it. There was little combat and I felt as though all my time was spent talking to people, If I buy a game to RP as a space marine I don't want to spend all my time chatting about how some Hanar's day is going I want to blow a hole through his Jelly Fish face in the name of the Emperor because I'm a xenophobe (In the RPG obvz).

Oblivion, see I understand First Person Shooting...but First Person Sword Fighting??? never got the knack of it because it always just seemed to turn into another key-mashing, hack and slash session instead of any real sword finesse or skill.

Dead Space 2. Wasn't scary at all. It wasn't even that fun.

I hated the first Uncharted, second was alright.

And Oblivion, I'm not a huge fan of.

COD Black Ops. The story was way to predictable to be enjoyable and it did not deliver anything that the earlier COD games didn't already. It was boring.

And everyone who reads this thinks: Black Ops had a single player mode?

Oh and Mass Effect. IDK why, I just couldn't get into it the way EVERYBODY else did.

Final Fantasy 7, one of the worst final fantasies tbh, terrible combat system, dumb materia system, pretty bad story, hourglass arms, every other final fantasy game i've played is better (i havent played a few of them though, 3 4 5 6 8 or 11, but 11's an mmo and doesn't really count.)
Red dead redemption, don't get the appeal.
COD:BO, its MW2 but released a year later, no significant changes.
Mass effect 2, i despise how u dont get xp from fighting, one of the most annoying features of any game ever, that and the lack of a decent item system makes me want to avoid fighting as much as possible, because it is just tedious. Never played the first game so i cant comment on that one.
Basically, every fps game besides MW, MW2, and Halo reach.
