First question:
What is your most addictive game.
Most MMO's, WoW obviously being the best example.

Second question:
What do you think a Video game needs in it to make it addictive.
I think there is a big difference between a game being good enough that it makes you want to play it and it being
addictive. I believe Jonathan Blow hit the nail on the head when he described WoW's design philosophy (exploiting players by using a simple reward-for-suffering scheme to keep them in front of their computer) as "unethical". Adhering to this unethical design is pretty much what you have to do to as a developer to attempt to turn a videogame into an addiction. The question remains however...
should you be doing this? You will make more money this way, that much is true, but is this the only motive behind game development? Shouldn't developers be treating their customers with a bit more respect? Shouldn't their projects be fueled a bit more by personal artistic passion and the need to communicate
something to their audience and less by insatiable greed? I believe they should, but then again I've always been a romantic lonely fool.
