Feel a bit sorry for all the people who are looking forward to Halo Wars with high hopes. Just setting yourself up for major dissapointment.
I don't really have high hopes, I just want to see how it is and how it'll work. I think that the flood will end up being the Zerg, the covenant will be Protoss, and the humans will be Teran. It's just going to be a big rip off.

Don't be so mean ID, jeez. Let them dream, perhaps the team has been working on the RTS engine for Halo Wars since they started creating the other Halo games, besides it was supposed to the first one after all...

I for one am looking forward to FFXII since I know now that it is not an exclusive to the PS3. Other than that, I guess I'll have to wait for a sleeper hit to keep me occupied until autumn.

There's a lot to list, but I'd have to go with Starcraft II right now. Mainly because I only have a PC and no consoles, but many many other things look promising too.

I hope even more things are announced later on.

Probably not my absolute highest anticipated, but Postal 3 is going console. So far it looks a little bit like a crazy screwed up Grand Theft Auto. Awesome.

I was ready to say none, but after reading this thread and reminding myself what is coming out this year I did find a few, several that slipped through the net..

First the games I'm not so much looking foreword to but am cautiously optimistic about.

Dissidia: This type of game didn't work out so well with Ehregiz, but the fighting style looks similar to Crisis core, and that played alright, so by proxy this should be alright. Not to mention I'm looking foreword to smashing Titus into pieces, that alone should make this alright. "TAKE THIS YOU SERIES DESTROYING DICK" Says Lift on the way to school while his peers shake their head in shame.

No More Heroes 2: If Nights 2 has taught me anything is that a good game will not necessarily be better the second time around, but an exception to this is Zone of the Enders 2, mostly because it was just a furtherment of the concept, and hopefully that's what NMH2 will be. If so HOORAY, if not i wont be surprised... but still sad.

Fragile: only because it looks, interesting, as well as fucking BEAUTIFUL!

Fantasy Star Zero looks like it could be alright but then again it looks an awful lot like Phantasy star online, and since I played the hell out of that game 4 or 5 too many times i doubt I'll dig it.

Their are some games that I am very much looking foreword too.

Sky Crawlers: This is from the minds who gave us the ace combat series and if you don't pay attention to the story and dialog of ace combat six their very good at incorporation story into their games but consistently have very good design. The Rutan inspired canard braced pusher prop warbird-esk aircraft design is rely cool, and this looks like a good opportunity to make up for the putrid dialog and story in AC6.

Brutal Legend: because Psyconaughts was good and everything I've ever seen come out of Tim Shafers brain has been excellent I bet Brutal Legend will be too.

I'm sure theirs more but I must sleep.

There are a whole tonne of these already - I've narrowed my list down to 15.

15. Tekken 6
Played the Arcade, must have my own

14.Kirby (Working Title)
I don't know a plot, I don't know a release date, but I see the name Kirby, and I must have it. Some form of motion based sucking controls would be sweet, and wielding absorbed powers with the remote? Hell yeah.

13. Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Everything here is set to change the expectations of movies-to-games. And it doesn't even have the Scarface drawback of completely ruinging the movies message, since the movies had no message.

12.DC Universe Online
Play as The Joker, you can beat the crap out of Aquaman - its like Mortal Knombat VS DC Universe if it had depth.

11.No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
Despite my well known doubts, I think its safe to say Suda 51 knows what he's doing - he wouldn't gamble his entire reputation to make a quick bit of cash.

10. Eyepet
Come on - a virtual monkey? Somewhere deep inside even the most bloodthirsty of all gamers, there lurks a small part that just sees this thing and instantly just wants to play with it, to love it, and to stroke it (and I'm predicting a huge wave of innuendo).

9. Ratchet and Clank Future 2
Word is they now have a gun that shoots train tunnels - one shot for the starting point, the other for where it goes to. Like a cross between Portal and a Wile E. Coyote cartoon.

8. LA Noire
As a Sydney resident, I have to love it. Its a law. Plus, you know....every single NPC in an open world game has a unique personality.....

7. White Knight Chronicles
You turn into a giant and beat the crap out of things. There has never been a game where sequences of just that have not been fun (Think about it - Majoras Mask, Psychonauts, God of War).

6. Heavy Rain
Death does not mean game over? a storyline where every action is a choice? Holy shit, this could be big. Speaking of big...

5. Massive Action Game (working title)
A full on war between two armies. Tactical considerations including wind direction and supply routes. Ambushes and traps, air strikes and anti-aircraft fire, commanders and privates. What promises to be a multiplayer experience like no other.

4. The Legend Of Zelda (working title)
A small part of me still hopes Miyamoto has not lost his touch.

3, 2 and 1. (I can't choose) God Of War III, inFAMOUS, Brutal Legend.
How can I choose? God Of War III is God of fucking War III, and is setting a series that was limited only by its hardware loose on a true beast. It also involves a war between the Titans and the Gods - yes, we are going through judgment day.

inFAMOUS just takes what amounts to every nerds fantasy - you are effectively the three way cross of a Ninja, Zeus, and Batman. I challenge any human being to come up with a cooler concept than that.

Brutal Legend... where do I begin? A Metal themed world? Damn straight. Written by Tim Schafer? Hell yeah. Voiced by Metal Gods? Oh, ************ this game is gonna be HUGE!
In fairness, batman's already a ninja. Didn't you see Begins? =P
