The third person action genre is mine (games include Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Bayonetta).
Agreed. I tend to rock Hack&Slash, with a mixture of FPS' too.

- Edit -

Oh, and VS Fighters. SSFIV, and BlazBlue FTW...

Watching a Yahtzee review (I forget which) he mentioned that Survival Horror was his 'pet genre', and it got me thinking. What would you call your pet genre?
I'm an RPG man, however I feel true RPGs are dying out.

I also like Survival Horror games, but on most levels that matter Yahtzee and I are almost opposites when it comes to taste.

RPGs, definitely.
Though, on second thought I prefer stealthy games as well (Thief, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell)

Either fighting games, stealth games, or RPG's. Can't decide just one, but I rarely play anything other than those.

I'm all about the kart racers.

They don't make them like diddy kong racing anymore, though. Shame.

JRPG's but I can branch out to all RPG's in general. FPS and RTS are a joined second.

FPS's, especially PC ones simply because I'm naturally proficient at them. RPG as well, because I oh-so enjoy roleplaying.

At the moment, it's fighting games I think. Action adventure (Zelda and Metroid) or just straight up action (Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden) works too. And Okami. It probably counts as action/adventure, but it needs it's own shout out.
