Surely it would be unessacary to describe what shuffle shame is, but just in case....

Shuffle Shame is when you play your Ipod (or similar musical storage device) on shuffle for a different person/persons, and a totally embaressing song is selected to humiliate you.

I'm pretty confident that I dont have anything that would cause me outright shame, but there is ALOT of stuff on my Ipod that would make someone go "What the holy fucking tapdancing christ is this?"

The main culprit? The Crab People song from South Park.

So, what is YOUR shuffle shame?

I have the Zelda Soundtrack too. A lot of Two steps from hell, and Immediate music aswell. I don't think many of my friends would be able to understand why I'd want to listen to that of my own free will.

*Shrug*, it's not like I they could ever get to my iPod since I'm the strongest of the bunch. BWHAHAHA!

Generally, it's only the handful of songs on the Triple J Hottest 100 albums that I don't like. Apart from that I delete the songs I dislike.

For me:

Either "he's a pirate" from the Pirates of the caribbean soundtrack or "Ride of the valkyries" played by the toronto symphony orchestra

Oh yeah I also have stacks of Two Steps From Hell. I had it on in my car the other day, taking my mum over her friends house and she says to me "This is a bit dramatic isnt it?" She almost made me lose focus on the reigns of the imaginary dragon I was riding.

BananaPhone, and the Goofy Goober Rock.
Also, I really love the beginning to Slam, by Pendulum, so listen to that part over and over and over.

I would say over 50% of my iPod would be shuffle shame. I don't yet have enough music stored up to actually fill the thing, so pretty much my entire collection is on it. Lots of gaming, musical and movie soundtracks, classical stuff, and just a whole lot that would make anyone who doesn't know me well do a double take.

Some Chopin, an electronica version of a Bach Fugue, and the Machinarium, Osmos, and FF: Dissidia soundtracks.

Oh, and a couple of Janis Joplin albums... *shudder*

Edit: Oh, and some Jamaroquai...

The song in the intro of Clannad.

Hell, any music at all. I maintain a 'not interested in music at all really' attitude to most I know. I bet they know it is bullshit, but it is easier than 'why do you have faggy music'? Note, his words, not mine.
