What is your sin and virtue?

My virtue is either Temperance or Charity. I get these strong desires to help those in need every now and again.

I suppose my vice would be gluttony. I have this nasty habit of just buying solutions to my problems, even when problems don't really exist.

At least I'll never have to worry about my spent willpower [/nerd joke]

I'm nineteen, as it says on my profile.
And please don't start on all that rubbish about there being no such thing as nonsexuality, I've heard it before, and it is still wrong >.>
It just makes me sigh when yet another person tries to disprove it.
If you had no intention of doing such a thing, then sorry about that little rant >.>
Well yes I did look at your profile so the question was semi-rhetorical, my point simply being that you're rather young to be deciding that you're asexual, some people only start to become sexual in their early 20's. Women especially only reach their sexual peak in their early 30's (you know, the cliché of the biological clock ticking and all that).

I don't dispute that in very rare cases people may be biologically asexual; I also don't dispute that some people may choose to live asexually for whatever reason. I just find it hard to swallow when a teenager makes any sort of proclamation of this sort about their sexuality before their adult life has even begun.

Still, none of my business really I guess...

Be careful. If you keep thinking like that the paradox will become unstable and you'll get absorbed into yourself. Like this!

I am guilty of Wrath, Greed, Sloth, and Pride.

I have Chastity but not out of choice or lack of trying to get rid of it.

Yeah, a lot of people can't handle the truth when it is like this. But the world isn't as simple as we want it to be. I've known myself to be nonsexual for... how long now... I don't know.
It is something that just clicked.
One day, I was quite happy with sexual thoughts, and the next day, I just felt so at peace, I'd never known such serenity. I had lost all interest in such things. I felt so content with my life.
No idea what caused that switch to be flipped, but I am glad it did <3

I love that clip, but thankfully, my ass doesn't like to eat things like that. Hell, I don't even get wedgies, thankfully .>

Please don't think I'm criticising asexuality/chastity, personally I think it makes a lot of sense. For one thing it leaves a lot more time for gaming and that can only be a good thing. :)

Sin: Wrath
Virtue: Diligence

Those two actually mix. I tend to drop an f-bomb when something I'm working on doesn't go as planned, I fail at something (whether it's an assignment, workout, or a game) or when other people try to prevent me from doing something productive.

Indeed, a lot more time for gaming and animé, that would have otherwise been spent on... other things...
Need to find more animé to watch now, though >.> Need to check my list >.>
I never chose to be nonsexual, but by damn, it is how I am, and I will make the most of it <3
It is also great for making other people feel awkward, I can say sexual things without getting embarrassed, and people don't know how to respond :D
Except I rarely do things like that >.>
Anyway, back to Minecraft, another thing that I have lots of time for <3

I'm sure all of us are aware of the Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and Gluttony.

What may be less familiar to some are the Seven Virtues: Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, and Humility.
My sins would probably be Wrath, Sloth and Envy.

Even though I don't agree with the majority of them being a sin, those from the list are my choices. Now, why don't I consider them sins? Well, that's not the best way to illustrate my attitude towards them. I simply don't agree with them being so absolute.

Specifically wrath, greed, lust, envy. As long as you keep them inside and don't divulge them in a negatively-affecting manner to someone else, they're fine in my eyes.

Now sloth and gluttony, depends. Sloth's fine in my eyes, too, if it doesn't affect someone else (or their life) negatively. If it's just you on a Sunday morning, wanting to rather just waste away the day in bed, who's to say you can't? And besides, when you're over the edge and too tired, who's to say you can't be slothful, at least for a time?
And the thing with gluttony is that, okay, there are others who need food, while you waste it, the gluttonous pig you are, but some of us don't even know where to start giving it to those who need it, and unless you have a metric shit ton of food to give away, there's not much places to go to "give away food".

And pride, well. I don't really understand what's wrong with pride, unless you're being a douche and boasting with it at every step.

My virtues, on the other hand, would probably be temperance (well, still relatively young, so haven't indulged in the spirits that much), patience, kindness and humility.

From those four, I'd say humility is the most prominent one. I'm only not boastful if I'm doing it sarcastically, or if someone really assures me in something and encourages me to acknowledge the opposite of what my humility forces me to think.

Which sin would schadenfreude fall under?
Hmm... this, too. Wherever that falls.
Is it still a sin if I don't feel guilty about it, in the slightest, on any level? Or would that make it more of a sin?
Hmm... possibly. Yeah, I think it does. I think it makes some sort of difference if you're remorseful about it, so it probably makes it worse if you feel nothing. *shrug* Ah well.

Sin: wrath--I'm working on this. Avoiding unnecessary conflict isn't so hard if one keeps in mind the undesirable consequences of losing control.

Virtue: diligence--as they say, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well.

Sin: Sloth and gluttony

Virtue: Kindness and charity

I'd have said humility, but praising your own humility seems weird. Also, I think it's really due to to a total lack of self esteem, more than actual virtue.

Sin: Sloth

Virtue: tied between Kindness and Humility.

I'm a huge procrastinator but I do see near everyone as more important than me.

Sin: Sloth (huge procrastinator and tendency to slack and be lazy)

Virtues: Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, and Humility.
(I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging but as I looked through these 7 virtues, I realized that I show all of them regularly which honestly does make me feel good to realize this.I would probably say that patience is what I'm most known for.)
