[HEADING=1]PLEASE READ THE FIRST POST PEOPLE [/HEADING]

Yes, I've decided to make a completely original and never done before topic, one about superpowers.

Okay, seriously, I felt like making a topic seeing what you guys want as your superpower. However, there's a twist.

I always see threads like this clogged up with people wanting three powers: Time Control, Mental Powers/Control, and Reality Manipulation. I'm not entirely sure whether or not people who choose these are being creative, or uncreative. Either way, it gets boring seeing the same choices over and over, so the limitation is that you can't pick any one of these.

Personally, I'd probably go with either elastic powers (like Plastic Man), or the ability to make light-energy duplicates of myself.

So, fellow Escapists, what do you choose?

Remember, no Time, Reality, or Mental powers (telekinesis is fine).

Probably teleportation or precognition.

I could be really jammy and say run really fast, because if I could run the speed of light I could break your limitations as this is not directly time control or reality manipulation but would allow me to time travel.

Eh, I suppose that isn't cheating. I mostly just made this cause I got tired of everyone picking the same three over and over again so they'd be invincible. With super-speed, at least I've got the chance to trip you or something.

I would like the ability to fly, I know it's simple and clichéd, but if I could sneak out to the city every night and be back within the hour, or even just as simple as saving flood victims or whatever, flying would be cool, and not to mention... I could woo the ladies

Except for super speed to function at all without nice long straight roads your mental capacity to absorb, process and react to information would need to be drastically higher than that of a normal human being, or you wouldn't live for more than a few days after discovering your power before compressing yourself into a paste against something solid. This means that the moment your foot starts to move out even by a nm, I would have already observed this motion, and predicted the likely destinations for your foot and avoided it, should you change the direction your foot is travelling, or make a move to say clothesline me, a similar thing would occur.

:p

In my opinion this is one of the biggest flaws in traditionally depicted super fast heroes. They perceive reality at the same speed as everyone else. This simply could not work. They would need to live a lifetime in the time we lived a few days. If they could run at the speed of light they would live the equivalent many lifetimes (I cant remember exactly how many) while we all lived just one

I think I would like the ability to see places that I am not at. Think about it...

Boss: Are you paying attention Fishtie?
Me: Yes sir. (Mmm... Woman's locker room...)

Also, I could decide what to eat without standing with the refrigerator open wasting electricity.

The power to control blood and other body tissue. Then i'd just be able to rupture the hearts of anyone near me at a glance, or peel off their skin and make it slap them b4 they drop dead from the trama~

Tell that to the Flash. I used to watch Justice League all the time, and every once in awhile he'd get hit by something that, theoretically, he should have been able to dodge. Those super-reflexes probably aren't active ALL the time, probably only when he wants them to be.

So there. (when did this become a discussion on the theoretical effects of super-speed? lol)

Ok i registered just to answer this....

My power would be to understand everything about mechanisms, and computers and science so that i could create robots, and giant robotic colossus, or inventions to help the world.

With this knowledge i would make myself an exo-skeleton with advanced combat training (to move faster and become stronger)and defense system (vs bullets or explosions).

I would then create nanobots that could make citys in a day, and would make a goddam huge city-planet (with machines that made vegetacion grow faster and stuff like that), and a life-support system on a planet (to be somekind of prision wasteland).

Then i would create an robot army and get only the good people into the goddam city-planet, and the murderers, rapists, pedophiles, terrorists, assholes and whatever would go to the wasteland for redemption.

Then the robots would recicle everything the world ever made. So in the end theres 3 things. a wasteland prision planet (problably mars tht place always reminds me of hell), a planet for humans (with no bosses or anykind of that arrogant crap), that would be free to knowledge, and people could play what they like, with the people they like, witouth the dangers of burglars, junkies, or whatever (i would make places to things people think its inapropriate but i think its awsome i.e. skattin, graffitying and bla bla).

And at last earth would be clean by my robots, and the buildings and human creations (junk foods, cans, plastic, glass and all of that), would be recycled, leaving every animal and creature alone, with no stupid human acting retarded and not leaving them alone (like hunting endangered species... i mean wtf really!?).

So i know this was long, but that would be my superpower. To know everything about programming, science and mechanism. To be able to create the impossible. And yes i have been thinking in this for quite a long time now xD

I edited my last post with this :p

You set down a ground rule for your rules which I could break while staying within the rules. The moment I realised this, I have to do it, then make the power as strong as inhumanly possible, primarily because you didnt want tarded super power :p

EDIT: Assuming he perceives at 1m/s less than speed of light, he would live 734592.69 seconds, or 8.5 days for every 60 second we lived. (I might have got something wrong if someone wants to correct me)

Eh, fair enough. Not only that... but you've got a legitimate point there with super fast heroes. I always thought that myself.
