i've been addicted to NHL 10 for almost a year now. now that NHL 11 is out, its nowhere near as good as 10. so now i'm kinda bored and not addicted to anything.

but the game i was addicted to the most was diablo 2. i had withdrawls during school.

am I the only one who thinks the specs for Oblivion are low? is it just because I've been spoiled with top of the line equipment since 1997 or are they low?

I don't get addicted to games - at least, not for long. I can play obsessively for a few weeks, but I always get bored and wander to something else. Warcraft, TF2, BC2, Company of Heroes - played them all almost exclusively for a while, then switched. It's annoying because I've not finished some amazing games due to just getting tired of them - It took me 3 tries to get through Dragon Age, heh - including one time abandoning it at the endgame >>

Metroid. Never get tired of it. My girlfriend has the same fascination with Legend of Zelda. She has to play them at least once a year, and I've beaten Zero Mission too many times to count.

I get addicted to a certain game for about 2 months and then it's another one for a couple of months and so on. Right now it's Command & Conquer (I kick myself for not playing them earlier) and I have Metroid: Other M, Spider-Man Shattered Diminsions and Mass Effect 2 just sitting here waiting for me to get out of the C&C kick.

Non gaming would be the DC Showcase Presents trades. I have about 60 of them and the Hastings here seems to always get used copies of them and sell them for $3.49 so I'm up there all the time getting new ones. ($3.50 for 500+ pages of comics? Yes, please!)

Ugh, 'addiction' is overused. Liking a game and playing it isn't addiction. I don't care if someone has 500 hours logged on whatever the fuck, maybe you just don't have anything better to do.
