What kind of games do you think are definitely not for the weak-hearted?

I played GTA:SA at the age of 11. GTA IV at 14. Ninja Gaiden, Left 4 Dead, etc. Violence in games to me isn't anything new, but some games is, at times, simply disturbing. I think I'll count Fallout 3 as one of them. Giant ants, giant cockroaches, Deathclaw jumping out of the dark to claw your head off. I can sum it all up in one word. Dunwich. Any experienced players would understand.

If anyone remembers the infamous hallway from Resident Evil I'd say that would've been one for back then. Those dogs scared the hell out of me.

Now? L4D can make you jump, and I still can't get through Doom3 with the lights off (Yeah yeah :x).

Dead Space. It's not so much scary as it is intense. The atmosphere keeps you on edge the entire time. Gleefully violent too.

Left4Dead 2 if you look closely to how damaged the zombies get by your bullets (although I rarely look as I'm scanning for the next zombie). Manhunt 1 + 2 due to the principal of close-up shots of doing horrific things to people, as well as the overall idea of the games in that they are all about hunting down people and executing them. Don't get me wrong, I love the games but when you think about them... there're quite sick.

Condemned, playing at 2am after a couple of beers so your senses are lax and it's harder to expect stuff is freaky. I nearly screamed when the mannequins started randomly moving to other positions.

L4D 1+2 are surprisingly hideous games. For a fun, jokey multiplayer, there are a lot of guts, puking and open wounds.

What KIND of games? "Horror" games obviously, but I'm not a fan of the genre so I can't think of any good examples.

Other than that? Fallout 3 is probably the only one I can think of that's had some good scares in it. That or playing Timesplitters when I was younger, those zombies used to freak me out when I was a little one. Actually zombies in any game used to freak me out.

As the OP said, Dunwich building. Just go there.
Also I strongly suggest the Atmospheric Horror Radio Station (not sure of the actual name, but this is it's goal) radio staion. Combine the two, and you will absolutely definitely have a panic attack. Multiple panic attacks, actually.

These are the only games aren't for the weak hearted, most games just have monsters jumping out and shouting boo. These games scare the shit out of you.
The heartbeat isn't all the way through the game.

You honestly believe these guys are bat shit crazy and 'cos of the brutal deaths, you really don't want to die.
