Makes sense to me:
1) Dude walked into movie theatre wearing sunglasses.
2) He wants to watch the movie but can't watch the movie wearing his sunglasses.
3) Realizes his pockets can't keep the glasses without bending them.
4) If he puts the sunglasses down in his armchair he might lose them in the dark.
5) So he decides to wear his sunglasses on the back of his head.
And then you see that and you're like, "OMG! WHAT A WANNABE HIPSTER!"
Instantly jumping to conclusions that something is wrong with a guy based off of external appearance. There's a ugly word for that. Begins with a p. Ends with a rejudice.

What kind of people wear their hats sideways? The sunglasses are just that guy doing something he thinks looks cool or something, when everyone else in the world realizes how stupid it looks.
Golfers do it so they don't set them down when they aren't wearing them and lose them and they don't have them in a pocket or something that would obstruct their game.

I do believe this boy you saw is what we call a tool. Definition - A person, typically male, who says or does things that cause you to give them a 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look. The 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look is classified by a glare in the tool's direction and is usually accompanied by muttering of how big of a tool they are. The tool is usually someone who is unwelcome but no one has the balls to tell them to get lost. The tool is alwasys making comments that are out-of-place, out-of-line or just plain stupid. The tool is always trying too hard to fit in, and because of this, never will. However, the tool is useful because you can use them for things; money, rides, ect.
I can never understand what it is with you people and chavs. From every description they sound like the type of white wannabe gangsters (sometimes called wangsters, but I refuse to use the term. except that one time I just did) that are all so prevalent at highschools in America. Granted, cause we have "actual gangs", those fools know they don't quite line up against that, so they behave (sorta). If that is what they are, then I really can't quite get what you make chavs out to be. Every other group I can thing of is both more threatening and annoying.
