Sniper. I love headshoting people in TF2. Invisible spies and scouts in the air are the most fun.

Charge him! Punch him! Blast him with the shotgun!
That's me as a Vanguard in Mass Effect 2.

For multiplayer...Team Fortress 2 is the only one I play.
I tend to set people ablaze with the flare gun and then dare them to come closer as I brandish my Axtinguisher. If they choose to keep their distance, I continue to launch flares and kill them with the crits and afterburn. Sometimes a Heavy thinks he can survive the encounter, but then I switch to the Degreaser and juggle him. Switch to the Axtinguisher, hit him, blast him back in the air before he gets his bearings and repeat.

I'd be offensive/agile. My housemate HATES playing shooters with me because he's a sniper type, whereas I run in the room, obliterate everything, and move on. Which means he rapidly loses track of me, and then I often shoot him the next time I see him because I'm rather twitchy and he surprised me.

When we used to play coop, I killed him more often than enemies did. No joke.

Are these classes from recent Call of Duties? My answer is none of the above.
My weapon select would be:
Silenced Assault Rifle
Sawn-Off shotgun
Desert Eagle
Short sword

This load-out works perfectly for me.

Edit: Unfortunately I just realized that there are no games that let you use all of these. Except maybe the original Fallout games.

Depends on the game. In TF2,I`m actually halfway decent with most classes. However, lately I`ve been performing best as an ambusher Pyro.

In CoD,a pair of P90's for CQB,a thermal scoped and prefferably supressed sniper rifle for siping/countersniping (shoot, move! I NEVER camp!),or an assault rifle with a reflex sight for general combat.

In Crysis...? Cloak->Ambush position->prone,Maximum Armour->Spray enemy troops. Repeat if overwhelming is plausible.

Also,if it's possible,I will ALWAYS aim. Unless in Crysis I'm using a laser sight at close range. The red dot does the aiming for you.

I roll Loonie, typically. HL2, I'll stay back, blast away for a while, then get impatient, sprint up, and shotgun everything. TF2, ambushing Pyro. I prefer to get in a range where aim isn't much of an issue, simply because I'm usually using a trackpad.

Stealth. Especially since I gave up Call of Duty for Metal Gear Online.

It was hard being a sniper in CoD because if you sat down somewhere for more than two seconds at a time you got called a noob camper who cheated and was the douche bag equivalent of Uvvie Boll for anything you did while trying to snipe all because you weren't running around with an assault rifle like a fucking moron.

In Metal Gear Online, being a sneaky, conniving bastard is the norm and the goal is to make sure the enemy never ever saw you or the consequences would be dire. And also the maps are better for sniping.

My point is, Sniping wins. Problem?

Given a range of weaponry, what best describes your method of play.

Stealth: Sniper rifle & Silenced Pistol / knife

Offensive / Agile: Assualt rifle / AK47 with Uzi / Pistol

Offensive / Heavy: Minigun / Flamethrower / Antitank rifle / Missile Launcher

Melee: Pistol & Knife / Bunt

Demolition / Grenadier: C4, grenades, emp, mines with Uzi

Tactition: M4 / M16 / AK47 with M9 Pistol

Powerhouse: Shotguns / Double Barrels with Colt
I'm not much of a shooter gamer at all, but when I do (and in RPGs with shooter mechanics, like Fallout 3), I'm stealth and sniper all the way. If the enemy can spot me before I start shooting, or reach me after I start, I consider myself to have failed. Bonus points if I can sneak to a firing position, get a couple of shots off, then sneak to another firing position all without being seen.

Definitely tactical. A spray of bullets might have its uses but nothing quite beats clearing a room with triple burst straight into everyone's cranium.

Offensive/Agile or Tactician primarily. My style is best suited to third person cover based shooters like Gears of War, but I don't think I was too terrible at Halo. I'll melee if I need to, and I can be pretty deadly there if I play my cards right, and some occasional sniping, but I'm not too good at it.

A sniper rifle is the best short, middle, and long ranged weapon I will ever need, if I have to take another gun, silenced pistols take #2 on the gun list.

With those catergories I guess i fit in assult agile, although depending on the game. Call of duty I can use anything (gonna sound egotistic and arrogant) and do well. Battlefield on the other hand I'm terrible at and go either engineer or assult and do terribly, i'm not so much of a defensive player, that or I'm just generally shit at battlefield.

Whatever lets me just shoot shit up for no reason; something akin to whatever you'd find in Serious Sam or Metal Arms.

I guess a combo of Offensive/Heavy and Offensive/Agile. Or something.
