Hello my fellow escapists, I was looking through my pile of D&D character sheets and started to wonder "What do other people like to play as?"... long story short; here I am posing the question to you! Yes i do realize that this type of thread has been made before(or at least a high probability of being made before), but i like to get a more up-to-date rendition of anyone interested. also i like to hear about combinations of races and classes and some stats.

Ill start with my 2 most recent/most played:

Name: AZM (pronounced A-Zam)
Race: Warforged
Role: Defender
Class: Paladin

He was my first character i built, and for a good 3 months i was the sole Healer type character for my group, we had 2 other defenders and 3 Strikers... and AZM was the main healer of the group... suffice to say Paladins are only moderately effective at healing when the rest of the group are strikers and go down HARD... he had a pretty high and decent hit-point rating along with good a good wisdom score to lay-on-hands, not to mention a lot of self healing and boosting powers to keep me fighting on the front lines. sadly i was not good at marking stuff as the Divine Challenge is based on Charisma.

Name: Raetec (pronounced Ray-Tech)
Race: Human
Role: Controller(but with a heavy Psychic-Striker build)
Class: Mage

Raetec was the last character i played as in an "Essentials" game/mod/story, he was the ranged psychic mage, in the first game i played him i wiped out 8 enemies with one shot (Nightmare eruption), and suffice to say shocked and annoyed the DM on a regular basis, eventually he caught on that i need to be placed in close quarters to hinder my effectiveness, however at that time WotC introduced Staff Expertise which allowed me to make Point-blank shots without penalty or fear of opportunity attacks.

Ok now its your turn, show me what you got!

So i take it no one is interested in sharing some of their awesome or funny builds?

Well i guess i can add some more here, hopefully this get some interest started:

I recently created a Minotaur Paladin/Ranger, he seems pretty neat, i gave him a Carrikal (1 handed axe with brutal 2) and took the Hybrid feat in to paladin armour proficiency. Marauders rush is looking pretty sweet with it, especially since i can add my characters Strength + Wisdom, and Hunters Quarry to the 1d8 damage roll, and then at Paragon im going to take the "Brutal Punisher" Path that adds my Wisdom again to Hunters Quarry. sadly i cant play him until i finish school.

Oh and i also made a hilarious Halfling Battlemind/Assassin, he thinks hes a Dwarf and claims he's the greatest assassin this side of the 9 hells. nothing screams "assassin" that can stealth kill enemies while wearing scale armour and hold a Battle axe.

My favorite D&D Character was a Satyr Bard. I can't remember his name, and I don't really remember how good he was, or how I built him.

I can, however, remember how much it pissed my group off that I made a bard.

Sorry for a low quantity post, but my D&D group was never very serious and we couldn't ever get into a game.

Edit: Welcome to the Escapist, by the way. I haven't been around in a while, only popping in for LRR video's. If it's anything like I left it though, it's a really nice place.

My favorite character I've ever role played has to Chiko-Chak of Blackfeather, Kenku shadowblade assassin extraordinaire! He was a rather enthusiastic fellow that loved his job and was a pure blast to role play. Becoming a great iron dragon's hand of death; assassinating the lords of houses in such a way as to make them war with each other, I laughed gleefully when I had him teleport to a recently unlit chandelier leaving his shadow clone below to distract and dispatch a group of guards (minions so my clone's pathetic damage still 1 hit them), assassinating a King and then throwing the prince, a young child, out of a castle window to his early death. Ah, what a great story that campaign was going on... would love to continue it.

I pretty much threw strength out the window (much like the prince), and got underdark climber so he used his outrageous agility for climbing instead. Charisma was secondary, proved useful when using his racial ability of mimicry and other such things, then I think wisdom... not too sure though. Lowest hp character I ever played with by far, but he was just so damn hard to hit and could practically move about a fight with impunity teleporting left and right, turning invisible, etc. Could basically pick out one of their toughest guys and almost immediately take em out of the fight. Much better at fighting a small group of strong enemies than a horde of weaker ones for sure. So much fun to play as!

Those sound cool, one thing i never got or understood is how a character like a Rogue is able to do 50+ points of damage with only a dagger or some other really 'Low-damage' weapon?

I'm going to add one of my own weird builds here:

I made a Shardmind Bard once that had a natural 15 to diplomacy at level 1 and then 40 Diplomacy by level 13 or... i think, and on top of that he knew every language as well as have every utility power that boosted and allowed re-rolls for diplomacy, and in theory could talk his way out of combat, and basically leave the fighting to his allies by using Misdirected Mark and Staggering Note basically to keep himself out of trouble. he was the "It wasn't me... It was HIM!" kinda guy... oh the fun I had.

Thank you Mr. Snuggles Worth! thing is i have been on this site since 2008 and i only really started posting recently, sadly my first 3-4 posts were considered to be advertizing for a game, and i got a warning, so yea, not a good way to start my Preexisting Escapist Career. But im here now, and things are going ok.
